The January 2025 Transfer Thread

I’m still disappointed I missed dohertys sister kicking off on here about our opinions on him or something, one of those rare happenings like Glasgow not being pissed before posting on here
I’m going to say I called it

From the bbc gossip page….

Manchester United and Netherlands left-back Tyrell Malacia, 25, could have joined Wolves on deadline day, but opted for PSV Eindhoven instead.

He's fucking dreadful, no thank you very much.

So, our net spend for the season is £7m.

JFC how can Ipswich have the second highest net spend in the league and be 19th?

Yeah, would have been basically if we'd approached an unexpected Premier League season in 2015 (and we were very unlucky not to make the playoffs) with a core of Carl Ikeme, Danny Batth, Richard Stearman, Kortney Hause, Scott Golbourne, Jack Price, Lee Evans, Dave Edwards, Rajiv van La Parra and James Henry.

You'd have had to throw your newly-gained riches at it.

We had a much better core than that in 2009, still had to spend a lot, and it was very, very hit and miss in terms of recruitment.

The walking on the tarmac with the charger plugged into the computer. Wtf is that all about?

Imagine he’s using the phone as a wifi hotspot? Quite a few interesting snippets in there. Referring to Djiga as “The red star guy”; Using Docusign, then presumably just signing blank A4 paper for the photoshoot. Munetsi’s French is really good too - he seems a lovely guy and really switched on

I would never have guessed that English is one of three most spoken languages in Zimbabwe tbh.

Used to be called Rhodesia bud - in colonial days 🙄
It may shock you that Africa is not spent much time on in American public schools. And our lessons on British colonialism mostly focus on ourselves and India, for whatever reason.

Yeah, that’s no different to hear either.
