Ipswich 1-2 Wolves: Verdict Thread

I keep saying that I feel awful wishing them to lose every week and get relegated. I have nothing against them and if we weren't their only rival for relegation I'd be rooting for them and hoping they'd stay up
I have fond memories of Bobby Robson’s Ipswich team from the 1970s and have had a soft spot for them ever since. After watching the rest of the PL teams for a few years there’s precious few I have any positive views on. Brighton are probably the least offensive of the rest.

I'd add Alf Ramsey's 1962 side as another reason for having a soft spot for Ipswich.

rather suspect Vitor is looking at the 3 teams directly above us, and wondering how many of them we can catch.
I always wonder about this. I appreciated Nuno’s (admittedly clichéd) approach of controlling what we can. If we take care of our own business then the table will follow; not sure it does much good to keep too close an eye on the teams immediately above and below us.

I got the opposite from it. He doesn't want the squad to relax now we're safe or pay too much attention to the league table and aim to pick up as many points as possible.

Yeah, didn’t mean it as a judgement, just an observation. Any dissonance I feel is probably just sport culture difference between the US and UK.

One minor gripe about yesterday. Why do we continue to wear all gold away from home when we have two perfectly dreadful change kits we could wear?

I wish the league were more strict in saying that if you have an away kit on sale for £60 then you have to wear it

I suspect they've been preparing the ground for us to have an all gold home kit.

I like it as we used to wear it a lot in the late 80s and early 90s and I'm old. We could just have a decent away kit though rather than what we have now, which looks like a shit darts shirt.

All gold home and all white away is the dream (for me)

I suppose as we're effectively making our own kits then we can choose to wear whatever we want as long as there's no clash with the opposition. No pressure from manufacturers to wear away kits unnecessarily when there is no clash either.

Great 3 points. What a difference a manager makes. The despair after the 1st Ipswich game vs now and the elation of staying up. The back pass and free kick... very poor effort on wolves. Very hard to score in that situation, kick it further away to create space?

Who does Cunha replace as starter? or does he come off bench in 2nd half. Remember he needs to play so wolves can get max transfer fee to see him gone.
