Giro d'Italia / Tour de France

Froome is smashing it up now. Attacking everyone on his own. He's looking good now.
This could be a very interesting stage now.

Can't see it being Froome now just the small lead. Think Doumulin will be in pink come Sunday.

I really feel for Yates, not even a top 5 finish.

Ticking out to 10 mins down now. He's nowhere, unfortunately.

Froome is riding Pozzovivo out of 2nd though, I believe.

Pinot's bonked. That's an ally for Dumoulin gone.

That descent looks fucking terrifying!

Looks bonkers, wet road, snow on one side and a massive drop on the other.

Only 1'28" down on the virtual pink jersey. Long way to go mind you but lets see what both men have left in the tank with 2 more climbs and the best part of 50 miles left.

This is awesome from Froome, very glad I switched over from the cricket

Yeah, amazing stuff. Currently in the virtual pink jersey.

Dumoulin really fighting to stay in touch with the group in the final knockings. Great stage!

Phenomenal ride by Froome.

Heartbreaking for Yates, tough to see. Ridiculous from Froome, shame this result might not stand anyway.

Really looking forward to the Eurosport highlights at 7. And I am getting out of work as early as possible to watch the final big stage tomorrow. Froome has this now I think, but Dumoulin is going to surely try something.

Plus Froome has still had some bad days in this race. I’m inclined to agree he’s got it but maybe it feels like there’s one twist left yet. Dumoulin has probably actually been the steadiest rider, not really had any real bad days but has never quite reached the heights of last year. Great race anyway, usually better than the Tour IMO and suspect it will be again this year.

P.s. good shout on the long range attack Pad, when I read that I thought “yeah right”, so fair play!

I haven't really looked at the Tour route yet. The Giro is a climbers race as so is usually much better. So often the first week of the tour is a dull sprint fest, then three days of Pyrenees, a bit more sprinting across the south, bit of the alps and then finish. They need to make it tougher.
