General Wolves News

Good but shame he couldn't fly back a couple of days earlier

From the Guardian:

Argentina have not been an elite international side for a while, even with Leo Messi. But without him against Morocco – the Barcelona star was injured in a woeful 3-1 defeat to Venezuela on Friday – his replacement, Paulo Dybala, was completely anonymous. It’s true that conditions did not suit the diminutive 25-year-old, who was bullied by Wolves’ Romain Saïss (among others) in conditions so windy that both the corner flag and Morocco manager Hervé Renard’s luscious blonde locks threatened to blow away.

He's a handsome son of a gun as well, might I add. Looks like the bloke from Game Of Thrones that likes to fuck his sister.

Are the Nuno flags in the club shop decent size. I want a flag for Wembley.

Last time I did a bed sheet was when Albyun went down at Bristol Rovers. I was only a barbie that's my excuse.

Hope it was as big as the weetabix banner you had...

I stumbled across this today. It's a broadcast made in 2013, although I don't recall seeing it on here (apologies if so):

The comedian Ian Stone asks what makes a football fan travel the length and breadth of the country on a wet and windy winter's evening to watch their team play and possibly lose. It's bad enough when you know you'll witness some decent football but when the quality of the game is even in question, why do hordes of fanatics follow their club over great distances for what can only end in disappointment and a long journey home. Add to the equation the prospect of a motorway services meal or a shocking burger at the ground and you have a recipe for misery. Stand-up comedian and lifelong Arsenal fan Ian Stone joins a coach load of Wolverhampton Wanderers fans as they travel on one of their longest away-match journeys: to Carlisle United. En route he meets fans from Brighton, former players and academics as they try and uncover what's at the heart of football's loyal fans.

We will officially be safe tonight if Cardiff lose v Man City.

Not that we were ever in danger of going down but a nice little moment in the season when it happens

We are as good as mathematically safe now. Cardiff have to play Burnley so if one gets to 49 the other can only get to 46. They can both reach 47 of course if they draw and then win every other game but GD makes us good eventhen

That's what Kenny says to his dog
