Cunha granted extra time off to return to Brazil for a 'personal problem'. Not expected to be at the game on Monday evening but should be fit for Newcastle when his ban is lifted
 
Still lots of tickets available for Chelsea (a) on Monday 20th.

Going to members Wednesday at 9am.

I do wish more of these articles would actually investigate why China’s foreign investment policies had to change during/after COVID. Tons of liquidity in Chinese sport was tied up in their real estate, which absolutely fucking tanked during the peak of the pandemic, and it swallowed up tons of the cash that otherwise would have gone into said investments. A bunch of domestic clubs went bust in the aftermath and it put a fuckload of pressure on the remaining foreign investors (like Fosun) as the CCP started taking a very hard line on international cash flow in an attempt to stem the bleeding at home.

Not saying that it explains away everything that has happened, but I almost never see it mentioned.

It had been a torrid season for chairman Jeff Shi until then. The relationship with supporters fractured after the season-ticket price hike and accompanying messaging surrounding that. There was further concern over the reticence to replace O’Neil before that decision was eventually reached. But Shi deserves credit for steering Wolves in the direction of Pereira. It represents an acknowledgement of the path the club is best equipped to travel for success, in its current guise.

What the absolute fuck? I am NOT giving Shi any fucking credit whatsoever, for anything. I wonder why Phillips is offering this olive branch to the board.

Does this means the relationship with Shi/Hobbs is less secure?
 
Is Andre back in the country yet? Not seen anything. Not bothered too much about the weekend but we're gunna need him for Newcastle.

It means someone wants to keep his accreditation.
 
Chelsea away tickets on general sale since yesterday. For some reason or other wasn’t allowed to purchase two together online despite plenty showing. A quick call to the ticket office just now and all sorted. Looks like about 150 left.
