Dirty Leeds Done Dirt Cheap: Wolves 4 Leeds 1 - The Verdict

He didn't do that much either though TBH. The only failing I could really vaguely point to yesterday is that both of our WBs lacked a bit of pace.

Doherty wasn't poor! He spannered one cross into the South Bank but that was about it really

Gave the ball away and miscontrolled a few early doors too from what I remember. It's nit picking and if everyone else wasn't playing so brilliantly it wouldn't even be remarked upon. It's a good thing, really :D

He miscontrolled one in the 1st half but the ball did fly off the surface. Couple of times he lost the ball was when he was trying to put the ball between 2 defenders for Cav but they cut it out. He was fine last night but as you say if all we have got to moan about is little things from a RWB then life is good.

I did enjoy being able to laugh at Lonergan's attempts to be a keeper rather than having to look on in disbelief like last season.

Stephen Hunt enjoyed our performance last night

one of the best performances I have ever seen in championship

On a different note, I quite liked the look of their number 10, Alioski. Although Boly had the better of him, in a better team he could be very useful. I note he has a history of playing left wingback, although given he played as an attacking right midfielder yesterday, he could almost definitely be competition for Doherty (although we're probably not looking to sign anyone from other Championship squads I'm sure).

Nah, he was a little cockend.

I don't think Alioski would have the discipline for our system, he was here there and everywhere chasing things down and fair play for that he put in a real shift and finished well, I just think we've moved on from that now.

Agree there - I thought he was their best player, but clearly has a screw loose and no positional sense. I noticed him playing at right back once.

I know it has taken him a little longer than people would have liked but I was shocked when I saw some comments (not on here I don't think) wondering if he could be the same player again. It was always a case of when not if in my opinion. The beauty of it is there is absolutely no rush and when it comes to the end of the season he could be the freshest player which will be brilliant for us.

What kind of comments? There's always risk of this happening when a player goes out injured.

Watching the highlights....what is the Leeds number 21 doing when the red card is shown? For a few seconds it looks like he is celebrating the card being shown!

Others thought the same Kenny!

If you want a laugh, if they show the sending off in the highlights, watch that Saiz (?) he does some weird freaky dance, it's bizzare :)

It's almost like he's celebrating the decision :icon_lol:

Maybe I should read the forum a bit more....

One cross by Doherty was appalling (should have been impossible to get it that wrong) and there is an obvious discrepancy in quality compared to Douglas on the other side. But he did ok, defended at the back stick really well a couple of times and he used to be horrible at that. He'll end up being replaced, be it by German Phil or a new signing, but he isn't doing too badly.

Saiss and Neves were simply majestic last night. How to dominate midfield in both footballing and physical terms.

:icon_lol:

For a 20-minute spell in the first half, he witnessed exactly that in a breathtaking spell which was pretty much as good as it gets at Championship level. It yielded two fine Wolves goals as they painted exquisite golden pictures with their beguiling, enlightened football ripping Leeds to bits.

Lonners dives like a spanner (don't go with two hands for a start for that kind of save) but fair to say he'd have done well to get near Baz's free kick:

Told you had no chance. That was just a dive to make it look like he tried.

Had a look on the Leeds fans forum they are actually quite complimentary shock horror, not so many excuses.

can someone have a word with Tim about his ratings for Bennett & Boly please its making my eyes hurt.
