Coronavirus

So it is total number of cases not daily new cases. If the new cases isn’t slowing at such a rate and we know the death rate is falling a lot more people must be recovering then, so definitely some positive news there.

The Taoiseach just addressed the nation to announce an acceleration of the roadmap for re-opening the country. Based on the data going in the right direction, the planned roadmap has been changed from 5 stages to 4 and should finish in July instead of August.
Key changes coming into place on Monday include:

- From Monday, groups of up to six people can meet in other households as long as social distancing is maintained.

- Up to 25 people will be able to attend funerals

- The tourism and hospitality sectors will return on 29 June and bars can reopen if they serve food and provide a table service.

- People can travel anywhere in their own counties and it is planned to remove domestic travel restrictions in Phase 3 on 29 June.

- All shops can re-open

- All playgrounds and summer camps can re-open

Apparently, BA are considering legal action Re: the quarantine. Teleconference on the matter last night is described as either 'a shambles' or 'constructive' depending on your position and ability to tell honking great big lies.

:icon_lol: wombat!

apparently BA declined to meet with priti vacant to discuss it too. Don't think they gave a reason either.

But not schools?
Who'd be a teacher, eh?

Surprised that the South West is showing above most of the rest of the Country on those figures as it hasn't so far & most has been in the major towns on the south coast - it maybe that fewer have caught it so far means that it has more to infect still.

Or it was everyone running to the beaches...

Plus the second homers from London.

Another reason - there's 15 houses in his road (which looks out at the front over open NT land to Poole harbour & Brownsea Island).

Only 5 are lived in permanently!

Looks like the more remote areas avoided it somewhat and are catching up, whereas the highly populated areas had it bad and it's now diminishing.

Nothing about the mass gatherings then?
Must say I'm suprised after all of the faux outrage over Cummings last week.

Lockdown ended once the Cummings news came out and was deemed as acceptable so there's nothing to really comment on. But you know that anyway
