Coronavirus

from the bbc
"When the NHS invited people to become "volunteer responders" a month ago, there was a deluge of applications.

Three quarters of a million people signed up to help with jobs including patient transportation and grocery delivery.

Six hundred thousand were accepted on to the scheme, but so far only 50,000 tasks have been completed.

There's frustration from volunteers who haven't been used yet"

I heard on the radio that David Moyes signed up and is driving around delivering food to people in need

Well a huge moment in these crazy times we live in....Donald Trump is no longer a Twitter friend of Piers Morgan.

Wasn't there one in heathtown(not manhattens) that was shut due to the drug dealing, open plan inside, bulldozed shortly after shutting?

Yeah it was on the left hand side after you went under the foot bridge, can't remember what it was called. I went in there once with someone from work and it was fucking grim, had one pint then made my excuses and left.

Little grumble from todays smirking witterings from Priti.

The Government cannot say its ok for businesses, who closed themselves despite the Government giving them the thumbs up to trade, re-opening and then at the same time expect things such as car usage numbers to stay the same.

1) How do you think these people are getting to work. Should they all pile on Public Transport?
2) If B&Q etc are allowed to open, do you expect people not to visit them or again do you expect them all to go on the bus?

It's no mystery why car usage will have risen this week so don't pretend to be shocked.

pick any 2 from 10:

political point scoring
lamestream media
fake news
Typical left wing agenda
Socialist shiterag
Would've made no difference
40k would still have died
PPE doesnt guard against 5g
I have a feeling I know better
it's always 'unnamed sources'
40k will never die! The Emperor Protects, after all.

Am I misreading the stats? US cases approx 930,000, deaths 52,000 = 1 in 18 fatal. UK cases approx 143,000, deaths 20,000 = 1 in 7 fatal.

Globally the death rate is around 1 in 14, so what is making the rate so high in the UK?

I didn't see it, but did she really boast about shoplifting being down?

Maybe, people dieing of other things are being recorded as Covid?
No post mortems so who is ever going to know?

We were only testing folk turning up at the hospital with symptoms. It has changed only recently.

Edit: other tests were carried out on a fat lying bar steward in an important job. A man who has licked his ass for the last 9 months and another lying arse licker and his daughter. Throw in royalty too.

So far the in the uk only hospital deaths are in the figures and they would have been tested.

It's more likely to be the other way, given the tests aren't 100% accurate. I know someone who is now out of hospital who tested negatively put the specialists were certain he had it. I think Del's lad was the same

Italy 1 in 7
France 1 in 6
Spain 1 in 10
Germany 1 in 25

That suggests that Germany is the outlier compared to much of western Europe. It's not that there are fewer cases in Germany, just that they are less likely to be fatal - or in reality that Germany is in line with the rest of the world and it is UK/Spain/Italy/France where the death rate is far too high.

Germany had the capability to trace check whereas the UK couldn’t. Not sure about Spain and Italy.
