Braga 3-3 Wolves: The Verdict

For the actual discussion, I'd be interested to hear a couple of examples of these big tactical errors that have so far plagued our season.

Loads get linked - doesn't mean that any of them are actually going there

What I mean is that Nuno has been linked whereas Silva hasn't

So that's people who aren't Wolves fans or SLB who think Nuno could do the Arsenal job. No one has linked Silva, therefore, objectively, Nuno is seen as a more competent manager

One of Nuno and Silva has been linked with the Arsenal job. That's not an opinion of anyone on here, it's a fact

I would never doubt a successful club like arsenal decision.

Nuno, who has taken Wolves from 15th in the Championship to the knock out stages of the Europa league for the first time since 1972 (I think?) and someone claims he's not very good....

I've seen this claim somewhere before, but given the UEFA Cup was completely knock-out last time we were in it, then surely the last time we were in the knock-out stages of any European competition was 1980-81.

I respect all opinions but I do not agree. Which is something that for some reason I do not get here.

Currently Wolves gives their players a stability that allows them to focus and improve their football. The results have been good but we don't know if it would not be better with another coach. What I do know is that Wolves make plenty small tactical mistakes during matches which are clear lack of tactical work. Which is something some do not spot or quickly forget them because a world class gk saves many of those mistakes.

Everton is a mess. Who was the last successful manager there? How many good managers did they have on the last few years? I look at Everton and I see good ideas on the pitch. The team just isn't capable of capitalize on that work.

This is how I watch the game. And I can go further with my points with even video footage if you want me to. Those interested I would be happy to discuss it.

But until then it's just an opinion like the others who post here.

As for PL bring the best league in the world... Well Calcio A which is going through a deep crisis has had 3 UCL winners this century. PL had just 1 more. Even the "shit league" had one winner. So for that reason and quite a few more I disagree with that statement either. It's the richer league in the world though.

Enlighten us all as to these tactical mistakes please.

And what are your credentials for your technical knowledge? Coaching badges, experience in professional clubs and data analysis please.

If it's sitting in your armchair or watching football for x years then kindly do one.

Pretty much every chance or goal conceded contains some kind of tactical error somewhere down the chain. They're pretty much unavoidable.

Our defence is one of the better ones in the league, especially last season. In fact we were 10th for shots per game conceded. So I'd suggest other teams and managers are more liable for criticism in that area than Wolves and Nuno.

Willies are about to be waved...

I have one and it's even level 2 for your information. And issued by one of the best in the world. Not from some place where a football is a square...

Again please refrain quoting, you are being annoying. Your knowledge is close to none. You don't like my posts and I learn anything from yours. We all win.

It's not just Arsenal though is it, it's the media, bookies etc?

Are they all wrong?

All media agrees on NES? In Spain his reputation is low. In Portugal lower.

Go ask a Valência or Porto fan their opinion on him.

Let's hope he goes to Arsenal (would be great for Wolves) and let's see how he does there.

Didn't you know we play with square footballs here in the UK?

I'm enjoying you saying I know nothing, it gives me an inner glow that you're somehow frightened that you're being challenged and failing miserably thus resort to telling me I know nothing. Your fear is almost tangible.

No evidence of tactical mistakes or why Nuno is a terrible manager yet. There's a few of us very keen to know what your FA prelim certificate has told you.

Whether you like him as a manager or not, the fact he has been successful at Wolves is a fact not an opinion.

Sometimes people just fit.

You're talking about things that happened more than 3 years ago

Exactly! That is a fact. For the good future I hope Wolves will have, I hope he continues to be. But one thing is what I hope the other is what I think that will happen. I like Wolves like I said before, no other reason to be here, so by all means I hope I'm wrong.

No need for hope, you are wrong.

Not such a long time...
He is a national joke around here. Porto fans hate him and his infamous press conference became an instant classic.

Believe me. My opinion on him is far from the worse around here. I find him mediocre. Most people around here find him total rubbish...

Here is the press conference if you never watched it btw:

I've always loved the 'believe me' defence.

Nothing like a argument with zero substance to believe in.

Exactly. You don't know the Braga team. That's why you get to write ridiculous stuff like being at championship level and yet Wolves can't beat them.

As for the joke shop league, Wolves portuguese internationals both came from there.

Also the joke shop league, is the league of origin of the national team that that won the last 2 official european competitions.
I know Andre Horta starts for Braga and he was an absolute flop in MLS. Not a great endorsement for the Portuguese League.

Of the Portuguese squad that won Euro 2016, only a third played in the Portuguese League (8 out of 23).

Also, it's not your opinion that bothers people as much as it is that your only defense seems to be "well it's just my opinion" and nothing else.

How is doing bad in MLS mean anything? He does wonders in Portugal. He is also good enough to score and assist again a premier league side.
