Braga 3-3 Wolves: The Verdict

Don't see how that matters. They sent you something privately and you've immediately turned it around as a stick to beat people with.

Wouldn't your effort be better served just, I dunno, arguing your points effectively?

Message is not recent and the member knows.

Real question is why would someone need to support another in private? That person did realise it. Makes no sense. It's sad actually.

And how many people are around here? Few hundreds?

I can tell you a forum with 45k members that doesn't even tolerate the behavior that some people have here. And 45k is tough to manage as you can imagine. I said this to the mod, he can confirm it. Ive nothing to hide.

Again, why not argue your points effectively rather than playing victim?

People publicly come to my defense when they think I've been done by unfairly. If there's a reason your "supporter" stayed private, it isn't because they were scared to support you publicly.

I don't know what you are trying to achieve. If you think Marco Silva is a better manager than Nuno then a) you need to have something pretty solid to back up your opinion, and b) you need to accept that basically nobody will agree with you (here or at any PL club). There was a time when a lot of Wolves fans would have loved to get Silva here but his recent record does not offer a glowing endorsement of his abilities. And in the meantime, the team, the club, and the whole city of Wolverhampton have been totally transformed in the last 30 months and the one person most responsible for making us all so happy is NES.

If you can't back up your opinion then don't expect anyone to agree with it. Just accept that there are differing viewpoints. If you think it has gotten too personal, just remember that we are all triggered in different ways. If I believe that others are being unfair to me personally, then I always start by asking myself what could I have done differently to prevent such a situation arising.

It does sometimes get a little overheated here - we all know it and most wish it were different - but you just have to accept it for what it is - a bunch of very passionate Wolves fans, some of whom are actually very knowledgeable, and most of whom are very reasonable people.

Hi
Hope you don't mind the message.

Don't stop posting
DW hadn't been wrong in 30 years if you believe his hype and Johnny 75 would argue with himself in a darkened room. Johnny has a UEFA B badge and in his own mind is the best manager a league club never had.

So don't let the buggers get to u.

Yeh actually I do. Only by pm. Seems like people are too afraid of posting their thoughts around. Tells a lot about this forum if you ask me...

Prick.

For what it's worth I've just been to watch Benfica vs Maritimo and Maritimo were by far the worst team I've seen live for about 4 years and I've been to Celtic games against some seriously poor clubs in Scotland. Their #10 might be the worst striker I've ever watched.

I've no idea how Maritimo compare to Braga.

Benfica weren't that great either btw, apart from maybe Pizzi, Grimaldo and the young kid they substituted on at right back they were very average. Vinicius was absolutely awful and yet somehow still ended up with a hat trick and an assist. Neither of Benfica's centre mids would get anywhere near the Wolves team (Adel Taraabt FFS) and even Dias and Ferro who I thought were supposed to be a really good pairing were very sloppy.

Nice people though, an awesome stadium and it was nice (but a little weird) to see a stall selling Wolves scarves outside the stadium.

You went to the game last night? How did you find the stadium and everything around? :D

The game wasn't particularly good but I think Benfica played well. Not sure if it was because the opposition was so crap lol I think I know which stall you're talking about, had lots of different scarves, right? They're always there on match days!

Tbh, I disagree with you on the acession of Vinicius being awful. While he's not a top player, he does what you would expect of him, with Chiquinho being the one who gets lower to pick up the game.

I love it when he plays his my forum is bigger than your forum card.

It's bigger so what? Point was and still is, your are welcome there. English section. I'll even introduce you if you want.

Why would anyone want to go on a Benfica forum when they are a wolves fan? Why would any Benfica fan who hates Nuno and Mendes want to come on a wolves forum (other than to troll).

You’re very weird, actively try be a prick and talk bollocks. Why are you here?

Blimey. I’ve just logged on after returning last night from Porto and was going to post my thoughts on the trip, but concerned they might be off topic for this thread.

Hope you enjoyed yourself!! :)

Btw, Paddy, I have to disagree with you regarding Taarabt (Taraabt?). Always thought he was very talented, just his mind wasn't in the game. He never seemed to care enough to put his talents to work. This season, however, our coach really got into his head and drilled the will to play. He's been very good lately because he changed his mindset.

One of those guys that missed a brilliant career because he just couldn't be bothered.

First glance I thought there was an L in your username!

Interested to hear your thoughts, as not heard much from those who were there.

I have to say - SLB needs to calm it down, realise the forum he’s on and stop biting- but many on this thread also need to calm it down too. He’s entitled to rate his teams old manager as much as we are entitled to think Nuno is far superior.

Playing “hate the foreigner” just makes us look like a UKIP forum. It’s not a clever look.

He's been a condescending, arrogant tit from day one. His nationality has bugger all to do with it and Nuno didn't manage Benfica.

ah, assumed he was sporting Lisbon, hence the Marco silva love

I have no reason to have a biased opinion on him then do I? Actually Marco is not very popular among sporting fans. Even though he won one of their very few titles on the last 15 years (portuguese cup).

His best work so far imo was with Estoril Praia.

I don't know very well his work in Greece. I know he was champion but I don't follow that competition with much detail.

It's kinda in the name, mate :p SLB = Sport Lisboa e Benfica.

Anyway, Marco Silva is a disgrace, he was good in Estoril but hasn't done anything halfway decent since that. He wasn't good in Sporting, Olympiakos or Everton. No one can fail so hard in so many different clubs and contexts and be good.
