An overall poor performance for the initial 90 mins saved by the genius with No.10 on his back (Until later).

We actually had the better chances until they scored, but we were poor after that. Getting over-run in CM and conceding lots of possession. The subs helped but we still never managed to create anything decent.

Extra time just seemed like we were hanging on in there and trying not to lose. Cunha ended up on his own up top but got little service. What an absolute moron to get sent off like that. Not just for this game but right amongst the best run of games we've had for a while and now he'll be missing him for those. Fucking idiot.

As for the pens well, Johnstone really should have saved that 3rd penalty, but made big amends with the next one. Doherty completely fluffed our chance to go through.

Still not convinced by Djiga but still early days and we need to see him alongside Agbadou before judging properly.

No idea what's going on with Larsen. He looks physically off the pace and whilst he takes up good positions in the box, he doesn't get involved enough in build up play.

We were poor apart from one moment of brilliance. Concentrate on the league - without the provider of that moment.

Fuck the result, it could well have been the game that sees us playing in the Championship next season.

Amazing a cup game has caused no end of problems in the league and could be the big twist we all dreaded. Cunha out for 4 games including that one at Ipswich is a disaster

Got what we deserved for a poor display and a lack of attacking intent. The Cunha sending off was one of the dumbest things I have seen from a professional football player and only he knows what is going through his head. We all know he can be petulant but that behaviour takes it to another level and hurts his team far beyond this game.

Thought Johnson did well despite the pre-match jitters from some of our fans but other than that, not much else to shout about. Probably deserved to lose in normal time but credit to the players for taking it to pens when we were pretty dismal. Not a pretty game to watch and one that will be remembered for other reasons.

Rubbish from Doc but at least he had the balls to stand up and take one - Cunha is far more deserving of ire after that utter bullshit that could well have severe consequences for the team and the club.

Fuming.

Deep breath.

Clearly about as bad as that could have gone. However… we’ve still got to be capable of avoiding the drop and those left behind, JSL, Hwang, Sarabia, maybe R Gomes and Guedes, have a chance to step up. Hmm, not great reading that back, but perhaps there is just the slightest chance that not being a one man team will see some of them earn the money they’re on. There is nothing else to cling to, so we may as well to that, and I still think we’ll be safe.

Free money, last time I bet was on us to win the championship in 17/18. Paid for my season ticket the year after.
Were 6 points clear so should still have enough about us to stay up. Neither Ipswich or Leicester are good enough IMO.

They let Cunha off after Ipswich, but nobody can have any complaints if they drop the hammer on the petulant prick now and make a real example of him.

It's 12 games since his last outburst, he doesn't have his previous disciplinary record and his shitty apology letter will mean fuck all.

I can understand him cutting a frustrated figure as we effectively declared on 75 minutes and stopped competing and he was asked to do a pretty thankless task. I can't accept him completely losing the plot.

He wants to be careful because for all the gifts he has if he shows he can't control his emotions he'll be viewed as a loose cannon and might not get the move he clearly wants.

Come back to that when Ipswich beat us. 6 points is literally just 2 wins and they probably have one in the bag already.

What a bloody disaster, couldn't have gone any worse.
Cunha as well as letting himself down has proper dropped us in the shit as well as probably put off any of the really big teams going for him.
