Wolves Loan Watch 2025/2026

Update from mid-week and last weekend.

Sasa Kaladjzic - LASK (Austrian Bundesliga)
Played 81 minutes of a 1-0 home win vs WSG Tirol. Had a lively game -- swung in the cross for the goal, and had several shots on goal, including a left-footed shot at the near post following a sharp turn.

Fer Lopez - Celta Vigo (La Liga)
Played 83 minutes of a 2-1 defeat at home to Osasuna.

Nasser Djiga - Rangers (SPL)
Played the full game of Rangers 8-0 cup win at home to Queen's Park and a 1-1 draw at Motherwell in the league.

Nigel Lonwijk - Luton Town (League 1)
Played the full game in a 2-1 win at home to Bradford,

Alfie Pond - Crewe Alexandra (League Two)
Played the full game in a 1-0 away at Crawley. Guilty of an overly optimistic cross-field ball that led to a chance that was well saved.

Arthur Nasta - Hornchurch (National League South)
Played in a 2-2 draw away - conceded two goals in injury time as Hornchurch dramatically blew their lead.

Josh Gracey - Telford (National League North)
Played in a 3-1 loss at Worksop, but then enjoyed an untroubled clean sheet in a 3-0 win at home to Hereford.

On as sub: Tommy Doyle came on for the last half an hour of Blues' 2-1 in at home to Leicester, then entered the fray after just 15 minutes in a goalless draw vs Albion in the Birmingham derby. Almost scored directly off the corner as Blues did everything but score.
Munetsti came on at HT for Paris FC in their 0-0 draw at Auxerre

Unused sub: Hoever
Not in squad: Traore, Chirewa, Ojinnaka
No game: Storer
No idea: Xu Bin - good luck finding Barnsley U21 lineup info anywhere! :geek:

First goal of Celta.

Ferlo pass trought to J. Rueda, he stay free 2 players vs gk, and he pass to Jutgla, and goal.

** correction Roman made the pass, not FerLo.

He try made the Zidane Marseille turn on the area, but not worked, a lot defender.

Finished 2-2, good game. Celta have a Euro league and he have main player on bench.

FerLo played 98 mins

Just a small point of order Xu Bin's loan is so he can play for our U21s, not there's. Blame Kenny for the confusion 😉

Yeah, he’s going to play for both sides U21s. No idea why, but he’s not gone there to play in league 1

Gets more games i presume. Mixing with different groups, language (he will have an ace hybrid accent in a few months time).

It's about developing a player earmarked for China's NT, same as it was with Renat Dadashov (Visit Azerbaijan splashed across the front of fellow Mendes club Atleti's shirts at the time) and Leo Campaña (son of a Colombian politician, Mendes had just announced Gestifute's expansion into SA).

Is there much if a Chinese contingent in Wolvo? Might be me adding too much together but there is a pretty sizable Chinese district and community in Sheffield these days. So wonder if he is living in Sheff alongside playing for Barnsley as only about 25 mins travel. Going to imagine its easier to get a Chinese/English tutor here than it would be Barnsley.

Loads of the Chinese snooker players live in or near Sheffield these days.

Elsewhere Tommy Doyle missed a pen in the shootout for Blues in the "FFS, can they both lose" cup tie vs Leeds.

There really is always three things going on at once with a random Mendes transfer.

Weekend update:

Sasa Kaladjzic - LASK (Austrian Bundesliga)
Played the full game in a 1-1 away draw. Unlucky not to get an assist as he chested down a long ball which his team mate smashed off the bar.

Fer Lopez - Celta Vigo (La Liga)
Played the full game in a 2-2 draw at Espanyol.

Marshall Munetsi - Paris FC (Ligue 1)
Not a great way to celebrate his first start for them. Playing 73 minutes of a 5-0 home defeat to league leaders Lens.

Tommy Doyle - Blues (Championship)
Played the full game in Blues' FAC cup defeat on pens at home to Leeds. Missed one of those pens, which was saved by the keeper.

Nigel Lonwijk - Luton Town (League 1)
Played the full game in a 3-1 defeat at leaders Cardiff. Reacted slowly getting across for the first goal.

Alfie Pond - Crewe Alexandra (League Two)
Played the full game in a 1-0 win at home to Gillingham. Crewe on a nice run - unbeaten in 5 and 2 clean sheets from their last 3.

Arthur Nasta - Hornchurch (National League South)
Played in a 3-2 home win. Unlucky with both goals, which he parried, particularly the first which was a great fingertip save, rebound tapped in. Hornbridge now 3 pts off the top, with 2 games in hand.

On as sub: Hoever came on for the last few minutes of T'Blades 1-0 win at Pompey.
Unused sub: Djiga
Not in squad: Traore, Chirewa, Ojinnaka, Storer
No game: Gracey
No idea: Xu Bin - good luck finding Barnsley U21 lineup info anywhere! :geek:

Xu Bin may play tomorrow v Hudds U21.

Barnsley not had a game since he played v Fleetwood.

From mid-week:

Nigel Lonwijk played the full game for Luton in their 1-0 loss at Wigan. Lucky not to be fault for a second after the left winger danced past him but they couldn't put the chance away. Had a chance fall to him at the end but his shot was blocked by the defender. Booked.
Alfie Pond played the full game for Crewe in a 1-0 defeat at home to Fleetwood.

Arthur Nasta played in a 1-0 defeat at Dorking, while Josh Gracey can now claim he was at Chorley, guarding the nets in a 2-2 draw.

Fer Lopez came on as sub for the last half hour of Celta's 2-1 Europa League play-off win at PAOK.

Not in squad: Chirewa, Temple, Storer.

Not that he’s likely to come up again, but Campana doesn’t have an ‘ñ’. Also harsh to put him in that category; he’s a decent player and IMO could be a solid Championship striker.

I’ll be honest, this is the only player I’m interested in reading updates about.

He’s going to have a massive future here after all.
