Wolves / Covid-19

Amazing how this anonymous player appears to agree with every hobby horse the interviewer has.

Agrees with all the interviewers articles too.

Seems like a load of made up shite to me. The thing that gives it away best was:

imaginary friend said:
J: “Last time we talked, you advocated all players just putting three month wages into a fund for the NHS, or the club doing that. But that didn’t happen…”

PX: “No. I can’t really go into that, but players got off lightly because of Hancock shooting his mouth off. No-one wanted to give that twat and his cronies another chance to have a pop, so everyone has shut up about it.”

J: “Yeah, I’d noticed that. You don’t hear anything about it now. There was talk of raising four million.”

PX: “If that’s true, I don’t know if it is, you’ve got about 500 first-teamers on anywhere from 30 grand a week to 250 grand. What’s four million divided by 500?”

J: “Hang on, I‘m rubbish at maths.”

PX: “You must be if you’re slower than me. It’s eight thousand. That’s all. What are you going to spend your other £242,000 on this week? Y’know? Even if you’re on 30, that still leaves you 22 grand that week and hey here’s another fucking 30,000 next week (sighs heavily). It’s disgusting. And yet everyone is bigging the players up. Well done lads, you’re so generous. Bollocks. You know how I feel about the wages in football. We’re all still getting bundles of cash every month for NOT playing football NOT!!(laughs) Tell me that isn’t crazy.”

A footballer would know that whatever his salary was he wouldn't get that whole salary because of simple deductions.

Have you ever read John Nicholson before? :icon_lol:

He's a very strange man. He thinks he's the Hunter S Thompson of Middlesbrough, the reality is it comes across terribly.

Then why write it? It's clearly nonsense as BGW says nobody talks like that. The NHS quote made me laugh a lot.

I mean that that doesn't prove it is false does it? Else the writer who you claim has made it up wouldn't have left it in, it actually makes it MORE likely to be true if it has inaccuracies in it, than if it is perfect with no errors.

You can believe it if you want. It doesn't ring true to me and reads like made up drivel.

I'm just thinking about what will happen if a club loses a bunch of players to covid19 for two weeks.

You could easily see 4,5 or more players getting infected, would they postpone games or would the affected clubs just have to carry on?

Would you put it past West ham to infect all their players forcing games to be abandoned?

Broadcasters have told PL that cancelling relegation is in breach of their contract

Good. Absolutely pointless playing the season to a conclusion if 75% of games have nothing riding in them.

This

Arseholes talking about 'integrity' but wanting to do away with relegation in case it sends them down

Problem is by all accounts 7/8 clubs are opposed to project restart, that’s enough to veto the proposal.
Wouldn’t take a rocket scientist to work out who they’re.
Sounds like a clear split of opinion amongst the clubs which isn’t good at all, if they veto this they’re basically saying we don’t want any football until it’s completely back to normal.
I think they’re holding on in hope it’ll be fine come September and the PL e we will just restart the season.

They can't UEFA have said it has to be all over by 31st August. Brighton and West Ham want it voided or no relegation. You can probably add the other 4 sides in the bottom 6 to that. The reason Villa, Bournemouth and Notwich aren't as vocal is a PPG call relegates them

That’s my point BHA, WHU & Watford especially will just want it voided with a September restart. They know they’ll be safe if it’s PPG or voided.
Problem is the longer put a stop to a return then there will be no choice, reality they should just be told you start here and finish here, if you don’t comply it’ll have severe repercussions.

And that's why you say its restart or PPG. Immediately the bottom 3 vote for project restart and West Ham and Brighton can get to fuck.

Dutch football is going to be plagued with legal battles Cambuur clear at the top of the second tier are pursuing action, RKC Waalwijk are clearly adrift in the eredivisie and have been shocking by all accounts but will be staying up.

Very much agree, football clubs doing everything not to play football at the minute.
Nobody’s going to be going to be let into grounds until Xmas at the earliest.
If it’s all null & void then I bet the same 6 clubs will banging the drum for the new season to start ASAP.

If they don't want to compete they shouldn't be in the highest level of the competition. Fuck them.
