The only people who will stay on the board will be Bull, Plant and Heyhoe-Flint, because those are ambassadorial life roles that have no voting power in board meetings. More like non-exec positions. Any executive directors will definitely be changing.

Yes, hadn't really thought about them, but no chance they'll be dropped. From what's happened at other clubs, they're going to be wheeled out a lot as the new owners try to connect with the fanbase.

Gift shop, museum, and grounds staff are probably safe, as well as many of the people in the administrative hierarchy. Tony Daley and the physios as well, possibly. Everyone else in coaching staff should expect their P45, and I'd expect a completely new board in place too from day one - you don't spend all that time getting a takeover through and then start looking to fill those kinds of positions after it's done, you get people ready beforehand (just as seems to have happened with Lopetegui).

I can't see Li having day-to-day involvement in the club all the way from China, so that new board will include someone to be his direct representative, I imagine, but no reason anyone in those ranks should be expected to be from China. After all, the Chinese state's plan for turning their country into a major soccer power is pretty much "spend millions hiring European and South American coaches and players".

I read on sunday night cant find the link now (some site that normally I would not read in a million years), that his right hand women had recently stepped away from the day to day running at Baidu (I could be putting 2+2 together and making 75)

Yes, I read that too. Her name is Helen He, it was in the Wall Street Journal.

Cheers

Look at us this time last week we were looking in the red tops to see which free transfer was coming to us, now we are reading the Wall St Journal

That is one hell of a lack of understanding of what has been happening.

No it's not Moxey is Morgans Mouthpiece, does what he is told. Moxey does not own the club, Morgan does.
Whilst I agree He will go with the new regime taking over, he is a very easy target, when actually his hands are tied

Even if he's a symptom rather than the cause (which I disagree with but nevertheless), I'd rather we got rid of both.

When you get chicken pox, you want to be rid of the spots as well as the virus. #worstanalogyever

I expect him to go, I would think he has already been told he will go, he will get a decent pay off and walk into another job

It'll be less than ideal for Jackett, but I've seen a lot of tweets saying he's been appallingly treated which just isn't true. He will have known this would have happened as soon as the club went up for sale, and this sort of transaction doesn't happen in a few days. He must have been aware things were going on behind the scenes for ages.

Tricky to keep things going - absolutely.
Appallingly treated - nope.

Agreed, lucky to have kept his job in 2016 on team form.

Helen He for CEO?

Moxey will go to. Its inconceivable that Li would not want his own person in that role. What we need is a coach called um then we could have He Li Um running the place.... Ta da!

Then we really would be on the up.

I will stop now.

Has anyone looked at Li's Wikipedia ?

In 1998, Li published the book Business War in Silicon Valley. He received the George W. Thorn Award, given to University at Buffalo graduates under the age of 40 for national or international contributions to their field.[18] Li has always stated that one of his main idols is Wolves and Wales midfielder Dave Edwards. Li once said "Without Dave, I would not be where I am now"

Ok Who's been playing ?

From Pat Murphy's twitter:

@robc306 @JPercyTelegraph Very flattering,Rob. Talks about talks & there's more than one interested party. All very hush-hush at moment tho'

John Percy replied:

@patmurphybbc @robc306 expecting something to happen soon. Mendes def behind 1 of them. Club has missed out on players inc Fletcher Bidwell

I think Pat Murphy knows NOTHING about this one personally. Nothing at all.

For a start - "talks about talks". We are clearly absolutely MILES beyond that point.

All replying to a fishing tweet from a Wolves fan. They know nothing more than is already out there.

Not counting any chickens until @patmurphybbc and @JPercyTelegraph start reporting.

Anything to say guys?

Not too much in that - we've known there have been several people interested over the last few months, and not surprising if more than one took their interest further. Consensus still seems to be something will be confirmed very soon.

Translated that reads: Thanks for name dropping me, I'm too busy covering the cricket in the summer to worry about what is happening at Molineux.

Aye. He's probably heard the general rumours over the last few months that we've all seen posted around - the difference now is clearly that over the last couple of weeks one of those parties (and by all accounts, it's Robin Li) has made their interest official and started negotiating.
