Wolves 3 - Sheff Utd 0 verdict thread

The two aren't comparable at all, aside from both deserving red cards.

No they’re not. One player won the ball fair and square and the other punched Jota in the head.

Just changing the topic slightly, the smile on Nunos face after Cavaleiro scored was priceless :)

Definite red. Three game ban. No point appealing. Back to more important matters.

I think Fosun's clear aim is to establish Wolves as a team that at least challenges for the Champions League. They have see Leicester win the PL and they have seen City come from League One to where they are now. None of the top six teams are - for now - Chinese owned and I am certain Fosun intend to put that right. As for recruitment starting when we know we are promoted, I am sure recruitment will have started now. Nuno will know who he needs to achieve the objectives, and I suspect Vincent Aboubakar will be near the top of the shopping list. For Heaven's sake, Burnley are 7th in the PL with a goal difference of -2 and 21 goals from 26 games. Manchester United started Mctominay yesterday who MIGHT have got on to our bench ahead of MGW. Show some ambition, gentlemen...

Well this apparently isnt even a foul so we may as well all give up! This is as near an assault on a pitch as I have seen

Similar to the Batth incident v Bristol City at Molineux this season. That wasn't seen as a foul

There's a graphic on Twitter - account is @russellkjones12 - of Chairman Guo using Wolves win at BCFC to illustrate a point to 1,000 Fosun leaders. Maybe someone more tech gifted than me could cut and paste it? Strapline is "Winning - the only goal."

Did any see what was happening on the road by the North Bank/Steve Bull Stand (where they home and away fans meet coming out after the game). As myself and Deutsch walked past there a bit of agro with the police and 2 fans flat out on the road and receiving treatment. Just after we walked by a load more policing starting to move in.

No idea if the fans on the floor were Wolves or Sheffield but hope they are both ok.

I went past that as well never saw what happened but walked through a group of very vocal aggressive Sheffield fans who seemed intent on threatening Wolves fans and the Police

I only really saw pushing and shoving towards the police from a bloke in a cap once the guy was already on the ground. It appeared that the agro was between him and the police rather than Wolves fans. It was in the opposite direction to where the police would want away fans to go though, so I wonder if them trying to force themselves down the wrong way was the issue?

Onto the game, well what a treat.
Costa was immense. His nutmeg even fooled Cavaleiro! He was absolutely brilliant!
Some lovely displays of one touch football.
Again I thought Bennett did really well. He continues to develop.
This is ridiculous.

Relating to the discussion earlier in the thread, next year we are not going to be looking to survive. Fosun will definitely want us challenging top half. No two ways about it. Summer will confirm this, and you know what, we will.
Tickets to games will be absolute gold dust.

During the free-kick from which Cav scored, Jota was made to stand on the sideline waiting to come on after his treatment.

It didn't matter as the ball went in the net, but if it hadn't and the ball had been kept in play, we would have wrongly been a player down.

The ref needs to keep up with changes made at the start of the season. Another observation about the ref, did he forget his yellow cards?
It wasn't a dirty game but some of the challenges by Sheff players were deserving of a yellow card IMO.

He did but we got lucky as well. Neves put in a challenge that I thought was a foul and a yellow card....ref gave a throw in though.
