Wolves 2 - 3 Leeds United

Someone watching on TV said Moxey was shown on his phone during the match. Presumably not ordering a Dominos?

He was, but there could be a thousand reasons why. More than likely his daughter asking for a lift home from a Christmas party.

I think the reason why Kenny isn't getting booed is because the majority view on here regarding his position is not the majority view of Wolves fans. Rightly or wrongly, that's the truth.

I think the main reason is apathy.

I'd disagree with that. The South Bank has been in good voice for the last few weeks, including last night. Apathy to me would be like at the arse-end of Hoddle's regime when we all just turned up, sat in silence, and left twenty minutes early to beat the traffic.

There’s a lot of murmuring about Jackett where I am in the South Bank but as has been said there is no concerted effort to get shut of him. They were even chanting his name against Forest which is probably why were not anywhere close to getting rid.

He seems to be getting a lot of slack due to good will from the last couple of seasons and the current boardroom situation. I’ve finally come to the conclusion he has to go, the fact he left Henry and Edwards in the starting 11 both who were appalling on Friday night says it all for me. It was no surprise that the first two substitutions made last night were those two being withdrawn.

I'm not sure why there hasn't been more vocal criticism during the games TBH - I certainly expected plenty. I was at the MK Dons game and there were plenty of supporters f'ing and blinding about Jackett outside the ground at full time. It's very odd!

It may not be in the South Bank but plenty in the NB are pretty vocal on Jackett's inadequacies but it's more a grumble of discontent as is the demographic of the NB (at least where I sit it is).

I'd like to know if anyone around Kenny Jackett has the balls to point out that he has been instrumental in this seasons poor results and performance. Because if Kenny continues to believe his own sound bites it gets worse before it gets better.

You fit in well, then? :xmasbana::sneaky:

While there is bound to be a little frustration, a manager cannot be blamed for silly individual mistakes. They are professional footballers, and somewhere along the line they have to take some responsibility.

I would not normally disagree but in this specific case HE MOST CERTAINLY CAN !!!

It was KJ who sold Stearman, his only experienced centre half leaving us with a bunch of kids in defense

Inexperienced players like we have make mistakes

If KJ thinks EEL will make a good championship cente half he is mad. He's 23 NOT 18 !!! If he was good enough he would have been a regular for a couple of years. By the time Hause and I orfa are 23 they will have played well over 100 first team games, because they will have far better careers
EEL is a mid table league 1 player at best

Has someone give you a GIF book as an early Christmas present?

Watched the game with my wife at The Boat Inn at Whittlesey. Also present were five Leeds fans, who were as worried about their team as we are about ours. They couldn't believe their luck by the time their third goal went in, and when our second hit the back of the net they were convinced they were going to blow it.

With ALF and Byrne on we were a much better prospect, but heads were down and belief was gone by that point. That the high point of the game (for me) was Edwards being subbed says a lot about what's wrong. The trigger has to be pulled NOW so that a new manager has the whole of the January transfer window to wheel and deal. As Edwards flatters to deceive, maybe there's a manager somewhere who is desperate to take him off our hands, and for an amount which allows us to buy a couple of quality players in return. Yes, I know, dream on!

We shall see if the Moxey phone call during the game was something relevant to KJ's tenure. Again, that's wishful thinking, but we really are into "clutching at straws" territory now.

What really hurts is that so many of us can see what's wrong, and yet nothing changes. Edwards and Henry will STILL start the next game, 4-2-3-1 (or is it 4-5-1 now?), and one striker remaining isolated from the rest of the team. I've never been so depressed at the thought of a forthcoming Boxing Day and New Year's Day as I am at the moment..

I fucked off when they scored their third. I've always believed confidence plays a major part in a teams performance (results) but how we fell apart after they scored was astounding. I haven't seen any replays but when Baath and EEL were having a wrestling match in our box only to see the Leeds player hit it close to Ikeme...................
