Wolves 2-0 Southampton: Verdict Thread

GON has lots of media buddies, be kind to the media and they’ll reciprocate.
Plus he’s a young English manager so they buys you about an extra 10 games.
Troy Deeney basically saying today he’s got a squad not good enough for the PL so it’s a hard job.
At halftime it was all on the players not listening to GON apparently.
No the squad can easily be sat where Brentford are if they were properly coached especially on set pieces.

Deeney was on Talksport having watched the game after too, and said how we were in complete control of the game. He must have missed the first half is all I can say to that.

Durham & Deeney were both at the game yesterday and very much gave a vibe of cover the game then get out of dodge ASAP.

Awful first half, watching it with my usual Wolves mates, and we were in full agreement that it was a hard watch. Early goal helped settle the nerves in the stands. If it was 0-0 at half time it could and should have been nasty.

2nd half was a hell of a lot better, GON obviously sorted them.out because as much as Southampton dominated the first half they were never really in the 2nd.

Well needed fantastic win, we now need something from our upcoming Games

Bournemouth
Fulham
Everton
West Ham
Ipswich
Leicester

Probably need 3 wins.
I would be happy with 1 defeat, 2 Draws, 3 wins.

FFS We need second half performances against every one of them For the full 90 mins, play like the first half and we could end up with 2 draws and 4 defeats.

Well yes we'd all like that but atm it seems cloud cuckoo land, I'd be happy with a couple of wins and draws before the end of the year tbh but even that would see us in deep shit.

Not really, none of the teams we are playing are particularly good Fulham possibly the best of the bunch. I said last week I dont see us losing any of these, fulham being our hardest fixture but believe we are good enough to get a Point.

Fulham are sat deservedly in 7th. Have just comfortably despatched Palace away, when we were extremely fortunate to garner a point from Palace at home. Beat Brentford in their last home game. Brentford stuck five on us. Fulham have also beaten Newcastle convincingly at Craven Cottage.

It is a tough game, very tough, as some manager our esteemed chairman decided to bin for no good reason used to say.

I admire your blind faith, the previous 20 games suggest otherwise.

Smash Liverpool or City, and the fist pumps are well in order. Scramble past a rabble, and it is somewhat less so.

Bournemouth have picked up 7 points from their last 12 with two wins against City and Arsenal and a draw against Villa. Fulham are deservedly 7th.

West Ham are in disarray. Everton are Everton.

If we still present chances then Vardy/Delap won't need a second invitation.

He say something interesting?
Nope! Basically a rehash of what's already been posted about Cunha. Lineker had a little joke about VAR getting us out of jail for once and how GON must love it now.
