Two points down the drain. Should have been putting one of our chances away. Very poor attacking play from us. Guedes will slot into the semi-organised chaos up front nicely.

Fulham offered nothing really. Wasted their one opportunity from the spot.

Draw not good enough for us and is a wasted opportunity. Probably a fair result in the end though.

Can’t even score from open goals. going to be an at best boring, at worst miserable, season. Picking straight up from where we left off, which isn’t a good thing.

Should have had the three points but the neglect in letting one of our two striker's leave without a replacement is laid to bare again.

The last 30 minutes we were awful, no plan, no ideas no anything. Fulham came for a point and got it, and barring Mitrovic being wasteful from the spot they could quite easily have had all three.

Sounds like I didn't miss out much by not being able to make it. 1 point from 2 very winnable fixtures is concerning. Those games against Bournemouth and Southampton are going to be quite important.

The occasional bright spell in the first half, with Neto and Podence conspiring to miss an open goal.

Last 30 minutes was some of the most disjointed, clueless and desperate "attacking" you'll ever see, against a team that was there for the taking.

No idea what the plan was today. It was like watching a game from the Championship at times- handing over possession time and time again.

In isolation of the raw outcomes, 1 point from those opening two fixtures with 1 goal is poor.

I know we had the discussion in one of the other threads about how last week was different to last year, but at the moment the lack of goals and wins is still very similar.

The longer Bruno Lage is in charge of us, the more he is looking hopelessly out of his depth as a Premier League manager.

That starting XI should not be drawing 0-0 at home to newly promoted Fulham.

We looked completely unorganised.

So much for the new back four giving us a more attacking intent.

Only bit of the game I saw was the move that lead to Jonny getting injured, decent ball from Neves had Neto away down the channel but he decided to twist, turn, dally and let Fulham get pretty much everyone back in their box. Then when he got bored of skill school he just passed the buck to RAN to deliver the inevitably hopeless ball into a crowded box.

When one of your supposed best players can't even be arsed to force the issue and see if they can turn a promising position into something more then what chance have you got?

So depressing season will it be . We didn’t sign any player only guedes and collins . We cant build up properly, and we haven’t players to finish the few chances we make. Also the defence is pathetic with so many mistakes. Only Sa is a trusty player in defence. We have one if the richest owners and the only player he gets is from some other teams he has and then gives them as loan players to them. So frustrating

Been said a lot already but need to pick up points in the next 4 as if not it'll be a tough 4 against Liverpool, City, West Ham, Chelsea

We look like we've got about 6 players who think they're better than they are, and more important than the team. Ignoring runs, pointless dribbling and chopping back and feinting themselves into no man's land.

If its not a chip/long ball over the top, we're ponderous as fuck. The shape looks massively confused, with players just drifting into the congested half spaces, and one/twos and interplay is virtually nonexistent.

Other than those channel balls there's no penetration at all, nobody wants to/is able to play down the middle, and our entire strike force is an injured 31 year old who's half the player he was two years ago.

We look solid enough at the back. The double pivot - I don't think any two from the three that we've got really works as there's always something missing whatever pairing you come up with.

Front four were all 6/10 as individuals, but 4/10 as collective. It doesn't work, the blend isn't right, tbh they're all in the wrong positions. Neto should be off the right, MGW as the false nine or a ten, then Guedes off the left. Podence centrally drifting right is just fucking pointless.

We've played two shit teams and looked no better than them.

Bruno - "we did one more time a great performance, got players one on one and even without the goalkeeper and couldn't score. I see how we are playing the right way and the goals will come"

On the double pivot it's just the same thing we've needed for ages isn't it

Agree with the repositioning of the forwards. Might work with Neto left if we actually had a decent striker though as he's on his best foot for whipping balls in and can beat his man often. Don't like Pod central at all, has to be MGW

I'd want to cure this before we go mental. Manager can't help when players get in the position and miss!
Fulham came for a point, and had 10 back most of the time.
I'm sure they will get better as the games progress, and hopefully we get a couple more in, preferably someone who can score into an empty net!

Sorry but LOL. He pulled a decent save out for the penalty (for once) but had another incident when he came out for a cross and completely misjudged it. Not to mention the shambles he pulled last week. Trustworthy is not a word I'd use.

Both fullbacks were poor again, which is a big problem. For whatever reason Jonny doesn't look comfortable in this system, which is odd when he's played FB before many times. RAN had another bad mistake which he got away with, but conversely he also created our best (only?) chance which should've been put away.

Not sure how much of a part the heat played but everything was very slow, very little switching of play, the front 4 just making it up as they go along to my uneducated eye. Podence was dreadful, MGW worked hard but every other thing he tried didn't work, and Neto drifted out of the game after starting bright.

The only notable contribution I can remember from Guedes is miscontrolling the ball out for a throwin but diving before it went out to win a FK. So he'll fit right in.

You could have Lewandowski out there and we wouldn't score, we are not creating anything.
