Welcome to Wolves Ryan Bennett

To be fair to Bod he has allowed us to do that Iceland clappy thing at Blues!
This signing is pretty uninspiring (read Lambert type of player) but low risk and he's probably not as bad as people make out. What really surprises me isn't signing him but that he must be a Mendes client!

A "meh" signing. The next ones will be a lot better I'm sure so not that bothered. Am sure there will be plenty of movement in and out this summer so no point casting much judgement until we see the bigger picture.

Thank you for your kind comments. I am used to the criticism, but it appears only you and myself can see that this signing only confirms that Thelwell still pulls the strings.

Whoa there Frank, I'm supporting your right to an opinion, not agreeing with it, although it does seem a bit odd that Thelwell has escaped the bullet. I' m full of hope that we will be signing better players in the future and I've no anti Fosun agenda

Of course he does. Jesus Frank. And you wonder why people call you a WUM.

But the consensus on here was that Thelwell would have no more input in the first team, and lo and behold we sign a below average championship defender.

Call me a WUM or whatever, but you are wrong. I am merely stating my opinion.

Fosun have been in charge for less than a year:

Jackett was quickly dispensed with.
Zenga was a disaster.
Lambert was ok at best
And now we have another manager.

But there is one constant among all the changes, and that is Thelwell. For some reason he is immune.

This is the fourth manager Fosun have had in less than twelve months, so I am entitled to voice my concern. I really do believe they haven't a clue what they are doing.

I'll see if Morgan wants back in...

Thelwell obviously does work that impresses Fosun as they have shown little patience with others. Today's appointment is a big one for our owners. I think we are going to see the plan they wanted to implement last August but circumstances prevented it.

On today's signing - certainly one i wasn't expecting but I don't think we will be signing many more from this section of the transfer market. If by the end of August we have signed 5 or 6 players that are "Thelwellesque" I will join you in the concerned corner.

I am pretty confident that won't happen and I will be spending most of the summer googling players and seeing they are looked after by Mendes.

Pretty sure that anything that he has signed has had a very limited impact on the first team so not really affected us that much

Kenny I have not mentioned Morgan returning, but surely I am entitled to want owners with a decent level of competency, and as Fosun are on their fourth manager in less than a year I think it is reasonable enough to question them.

Today's signing worried me, as it shows that Thelwell is still in control of recuitment. I really do not want another season fighting relegation.

It was tongue in cheek the opening part you daft sod.

I would wait until we have made further signings before getting upset over Thelwells role.

We haven't persuaded a coach like Nuno to come here with the promise of a load of freebies/lumps from Norwich or Preston have we.

This is a man that wants to coach in the Prem. He is either does that with us or be impresses here and he moves upwards. He fails and his dream is over. Just let the next month or so happen...you might be surprised.

I see the WUM is strong tonight, must be wound up after the shite performance from Amber Rudd.

4 managers in 12 months,as they were buying the club they had a man in place, but due to the takeover taking longer than expected,he went and managed Spain, was that a bullet dodged there then?
Jackett, thought he wasn't wanted by the new owners, gave a rubbish interview for the job,by all accounts, left.
Zenga, last minute oh shit we need someone panic, maybe, started ok,tailed off quickly, sacked at the right time
Lambert, best of a bad bunch, bought in to steady the ship, did it,not great, but did the job, doesn't fit into future plans(that they've had from day one)
Nuno, seems to have been known to Jeff shi a while, who likes his style of play, now lambert so kept us up,they can start properly what they've wanted to do,and maybe could have done from the start, see first line of this reply. I think they do know what they're doing, they've just had to hang fire after last seasons non event, see first line of this reply.

I now accept that when people use the silly WUM comment, it means they cannot answer my questioning of our owners. Instead of of making silly comments, you tell me why Fosun are on their fourth manager in less than a year. They are on a par with Leeds United and Watford.

You've been answered over and over. You choose to ignore it and say you're entitled to your opinion. That's why you get called a WUM.

I have ignored nothing. I have just put my views forward, so kindly tell me what answers I have ignored?

Keep just told you [emoji848]

Watford are changing managers every year while continuing to improve, id be fine with that

Frank, we get it, you don't like foreign owners involved in English football, which is fine, plenty of people don't and it's not racist or xenophobic, but please see that we have, owners that are investing in the team and trying to get us to the very top.

Last season didn't work, but time at the start of the season is a good reason why. Let's see what happens when they have a full close season and a full pre season before you decide that they are clueless.
