Welcome to Wolves Marshall Munetsi

That's pretty much it, yeah. Whether it's the first minute or the 96th if the ball is anywhere near either box he'll be there trying to affect the play.

He's an absolutely dog shit footballer though. No technique, terrible decision making, no composure, no game intelligence. He seems unsure of where to stand or what to do in certain scenarios in a way you only usually see from young players still learning the game.

Vítor describes him as a fighter but I'm not sure about that either, he flinches away from contact quite a lot. The were a few times where he had to hold the ball up with a defender touch tight to him last night and he just coughs the ball straight up under the lightest pressure.

He's an endurance runner who's taken a wrong turn and stumbled onto a football pitch.
The bolded sentence here to me describes Strand Larsen as well. From what I've seen he rarely holds the ball up well or brings other people into play. Or at least not nearly enough. Good finisher though. And both he and Munetsi put in a lot of work.

I could be wrong as I didn't see the game but read somewhere that JSL could easily have had 3 assists last night, not bad for a player that can't hold the ball up or link play.

His effort from the Doherty pull back was disappointing, kicked it against his standing leg then went down holding his back. :ROFLMAO:

Honestly after the shit I gave JRB I’m going to give Munetsi time. Im here ordering a JRB shirt on DHGate FFS.

I don't remember them. He miscontrolled the ball into Munetsi's path for the shot that hit the bar.

I'm also reserving judgment. What I like is he gets into some really good positions and seems to have a decent engine. As has been stated, he could easily have 5 or 6 goals by now so there is hope he can start knocking them in at some point. I'm not comparing him to Bully, but Bully missed a heap of chances in his first 12 months with us before the avalanche arrived.

From what I've seen so far, for all his faults, Edwards was a better footballer. I accept its a low bar. I actually like them both for different reasons but we need much better than either in midfield in the future. Maybe Marshal will step it up soon, or maybe next season😁

He might just move naturally into being a decent squad player next season.

We can all see his limitations, but I'm not going to shit on him until he's actively harming the team/results

Pretty accurate assessment I think...

“Marshall has an incredible ability to finish, be it with his left foot, right foot or his head”….

I wish he'd dummied it because JRB was stood right behind him & could have had a relatively easy finish. Would have been a lovely goal, too. Good movement from Doc & awareness to pull it back.

I’m sorry, giving him time is not going to turn him into a decent footballer if you have nothing there to work with.

The last attempted finish was so bad last night that I actually felt sorry for him. He’s absolutely awful. At everything.

His running, strength, endeavour etc might be ok while we are fighting for our lives, but if we have any ambition to be a decent footballing outfit and make progress next season, I hope he’s not part of the long term thinking.

Munetsi & Bellegarde have been really important in helping us get up the pitch to press higher with their pace and physicality between them, he will end up being an important squad player season week but I wouldn't want him to be a focal point of the starting XI next season, for the reasons people have already stated.

He’ll be a streaky player, likely score 3 in 3 the 1 in 15. Undecided on him as a player, too small a sample size for me. Doesn’t help he comes with the ‘who on earth is this guy’ narrative.

One thing I do like, is that he always seems to be involved in moments. Far more technical/better footballers just go missing, he definitely doesn’t do that.

Our form is pretty good with him in the side, don’t change a winning team and all that….

There are exceptions of course, and Cunha would probably come in for him when back, but I’d rather him than Sarabia/hwang/Guedes in 70% or circumstances
