Welcome to Wolves Marshall Munetsi

Sorry but this has always been a dog shit argument.

I spend a significant part of my time and money on this club, I'm allowed an opinion on how we use our resources.
And it impacts on everything.

Having that wanker Guedes cost TWENTY SEVEN MILLION POUNDS and whatever stupid salary he's on materially impacts on everything else we do, given that we can't give him away for free. Bad transfers have a lasting effect for years in our position.

It's not so bad if it's very occasional but we seem to do it a lot.

We got away with Nunes big time. By rights he should still be here, not really having a position, playing like he's in a playground and misplacing three yard passes.

Thankfully Pep is a fucking weirdo at times and rescued us.

I think there's been some valid criticism of Munetsi, but the constant (often incorrect) repetition of the transfer fee like he's Fabio Silva is just weak, and it also doesn't correlate with how Fosun actually run us anyway.

They turn the taps on and off on their own whims, and if we've had to fork out an extra few million to get a player the manager way well want, that doesn't necessarily mean that it's going to impact us in the same way it might at a normal football club.

DW has already mentioned the Guedes example; that's something to be angry about, especially as the player has a stinking attitude. And that fee was about three years ago.

I presume everyone mentioning '£18m (sic)' like it's the first time anyone has said it is perfectly happy with forking out £10m on Doc's understudy? Or the same on Santi Bueno? Or Sam Fucking Johnstone?

At least Munetsi has put himself about, made a material physical difference and actually won us points

I thought the consensus on here was that Fosun are gaslighters and bullshitters about money, PSR, even our attendances?

I'm not angry about him, I think it's a valid point that he was overpriced and ino well overpriced. If he helps us stay up then it's probably worth it.
We wouldn't need to overspend in January if we had a better recruitment policy but that's where we are.

They are, of course.

But that does hurt us. So after three months it was obvious the faceache cunt was a nightmare signing. Let's say we could have conned Benfica into giving us £10m for him (they're quite a stupid club, they've hired Bruno Lage again).

That leaves a massive hole in the PSR accounts. It's just maths.

There's more to correct in this than a Donald Trump speech

We can argue he's shit (he's definitley not very good) but he also had our only 2 decent chances last night and scored one of them.

Fair enough, just doesn't sit well with me to see everyone dump on a player after 4 games when he's a trier and has already got a couple of goal contributions.

Probably using heart over head a bit too much

Everyone has their preferences when it comes to what kind of footballers they like to watch.

Personally 4 games of Munetsi is all I need to know that he's the antithesis of everything I like to see.

Whether he'll end up being an effective player for us is obviously still up in the air and probably depends entirely on luck but personally I would rather our players showed a bit more composure and technical ability than you're ever likely to see from Munetsi.

The flipside of the transfer fee argument, is that he offers something different and gives the manager a different option in the way his front line plays, rather than just sticking two wide forwards either side of Larsen every game. JRB has helped with that too now he's playing well.

JRB should probably be getting more praise from people who completely wrote him off. That’s me. So here’s some more praise - he was really quite good yesterday and, while fair play to Munetsi for enabling it to bounce in off him, that equaliser is mainly down to JRB’s tenacity and skill.

He was by far and away our best forward thinking player yesterday. Really enjoying watching him now, his improved form is not just linked to playing CM since he was a 10 (?) yesterday.

I think it's been that he's running from out-to-in now; under GO he was either in-to-out or hugging the touchline. One look at his highlight reel for Strasbourg could tell you he had exactly nothing worth sharing in such wide areas. Not his game to play that way and never was.

Extremely harsh to say it “bounced in” off Marshall. It was a good finish.
