Welcome to Wolves Marshall Munetsi

Always interesting to see people writing off a player after a handful of games. He scores those chances he had in his first three games and this is a different conversation. Every club has transfer duds and transfer successes. On balance, we're about even over the last couple of years. For every Guedes there's an Andre or Gomes. We're not a club who are going to be able to sign oven ready proven Prem. players and we can no longer attract players like Moutinho because we aren't seen as a project or on an upward trajectory.

Wasn't that long ago we all thought Bellegarde was a dud but now he's starting to show his worth. Sometimes it takes a while for players to settle in a new country and in the Prem. What I like about Munetsi is that he can see space (and I don't mean with his passing!) and he can get himself into some good positions. I know he hasn't done much to justify his position in terms of end product as yet but I'm not going to judge him yet a while.

Hwang, on the other hand, has always been shite and but for being in the right position a few times to score, has offered next to nothing. If we're talking about transfer business, not taking the money on offer for him last Summer was a huge mistake.

Extremely harsh to say it “bounced in” off Marshall. It was a good finish.
It was because it would have been really easy to snatch at it given his misses in his first couple of games. I thought he took it well but I can understand the point of view of others who feel he didn't really make good contact because it was a bit slow motion going in.

Got a push as he’s about to make contact and still managed to angle it back across Pickford. How many times have we seen more technically proficient players like - Sarabia - just hit it straight at the keeper? Plus the fact Marshall has even made that run - none of our other midfielders/players make that run and get in that position.

Saying it “bounced in off him” is daft.

IMO he does really well to get the pace on the shot that he does, given he’s falling over with both feet off the ground when he hits it.

It was the most Dave Edwards goal not scored by Dave Edwards. It’s probably because he fell over and wasn’t in control of what he was doing that he scored.

I try not to write off a player on limited evidence but apart from an ability to get into goal scoring positions (Strand Larsen take note) the only other evidence that exists is that he is limited.

He is being played out of position, but there doesn’t appear to be a place for him in midfield unless we are going to dispense with a forward player.

That said, I have always believed that an effective player can be useful as long as they are effective and if he scores a few goals between now and the end of the season his limitations will be overlooked.
