Probably be moving at the end of the season in that case, don't want to be sticking around in the SPL at 25 years old. Can't fully comment on his ability, saw him in the old firm game and tbh he didn't look much kop but saw him score a decent goal in the Ferencvaros, this is the extent of my watching.

Where is my “Jeff Shi is shit” rant? I made a comment on our new midfielder and the reaction of the Grasshopper fans. I didn’t mention Jeff.

As for my “investment”. So I don’t spend money on a membership every year? I don’t buy the shirts? I don’t buy items from the club shop for my kids? I didn’t spend the best part of 20 years of my life travelling to home and a variety of away matches when my circumstances were a bit easier than they are now?

You can bet your bottom dollar I spend more on train tickets, or diesel, parking & everything else to attend one match than you do in about 5 games combined, considering you just need to pop a few miles down the road.

Doubt it, Celtic don't automatically sell their best players at the end of every season by dint of being Scottish, especially players that they only signed a year ago.

Not really, ties him up across his best years and if nothing else will make some money on him rather than let him go for free.

I'm surprised we didn't go for his teammate Sene who has the goals for Grasshopper and is only 20. Big, powerful, quick and can play across the front 3 by all accounts.

Looked him up after you mentioned him earlier - looks very good, guess he wouldn't get a work permit though?

I think Sene is on loan to GC, but they have an option to buy for like 10/12m or something, but probably less

I do like Sene from what I've seen. He's built for the PL

Edit. He's 20 y/o and has scored 8 in 12 league games with 4 assists

Celtic have shown time and again that they can keep their best players if they really want to. Tierney, Édouard, Dembélé, van Dijk, etc all stayed for extended periods despite interest and rejected bids by supposed 'better' clubs. Of course every player has a price but it's not as if every player who has a good season for them suddenly toddles off as soon as they possibly can.

I remember when Kaspar Gorkks made his home debut, and he stood over a free kick about 25 yards out. I thought to myself "a centre half taking a free kick? He must be good". I said out loud to those around me "get ready, this bloke is amazing on free kicks" with absolute authority. I believe the ball is still in space!
