Transfer Speculation Thread 2014/15

Always thought SEB and Fletcher looked good together as well.

Yeah, basically Doyle was the issue. Ward looked good up there in a two as well.

As Kenny says, this system is much more fluid and more importantly fits the players we own. Should the makeup of the squad substantially change then we might go back to two up top, but you'd be barmy to do so with what we have.

Tom Adeyemi from Birmingham has handed a transfer request in, is he any good? Supposedly highly rated and is he worth a shout????

Bog standard defensive midfielder, I think we already have better players than him.

The Bluenoses on SHA seem to think he's getting a little bit above his station and that he was nothing special in most of the games he played.

Brentford didn't seem too bothered to lose him last year either. Don't think we'll sign a midfielder anyway.

Liam McAlinden is joining Chesterfield on a season long loan according to their fans on that famous social network where messages are 140 characters in length or less. Could this be a makeweight in a deal for Liam Cooper?

A team like Chesterfield should suit McAlinden quite well i'd have thought.

Lost his place to Jack Hobbs at Hull because he was prone to the odd error/howler every game. Hope his concentration has improved.

He was only a young lad then though - think we were all prone to the odd error/howler when we were 20...

McAlinden going out on loan would seem to suggest that we've got a striker coming in as well.

Talkshite reporting Clayton going to Brighton along with Ward and Sam Baldock

Really, I thought McAlinden was a better player than Clayton, more goals in him.

From a fans perspective it's impossible to make a judgement on either player at this stage of their career. Clayton has scored loads for Crewe's youth team and is highly rated but hasn't actually done anything for Crewe's first team. Ditto for McAlinden at Wolves.
