The very fact that VP himself managed to turn around a ship destined for the rocks last season tells you that someone else could do exactly the same, even with a worse squad, particularly with more time.

But the longer Shi sticks with him, the harder and less likely it gets, and given the contract situation he put himself in, he isn't going to want to admit how stupid that was soon.
Nah. Not this squad mate. I don’t know why you keep kidding yourself

That was different. That was a team being dragged down by GoN's incompetence but which had some quality sprinkled through it. This team is just objectively awful from front to back.

Not managed to watch the game. Did see the red and it looked stone wall?

Were we that bad? Hoping for more than a ‘yes’ response
Keeper was a hologram for the first goal, terrible defending for the 2nd goal and the 3rd was just laughable

Beaten with absolute ease by a side sat 17th and not won since September. It’s just humiliating now.

First team to not win in first 10 games, 2 seasons in a row... wtf :D

Think that might be the last time we see VP. I guess they might give it the Chelsea game, just to get us to a break.

Created nothing, open enough at the back that a poor Fulham side could put 3 past us. Starting lineup was just as crap as we thought when we saw it. Yes.

Annoyingly the stream cut off with seeing VP getting pelters. Can’t be many clapping tonight.

If you don't expect anything from a game and then you watch and are rewarded with nothing should you be happy, sad or indifferent?

I think that ignores the massively improved bottom end of the league. Last season's promoted clubs were absolute dogshit and anybody would back themselves to take massively superiour squad and make a difference. Now, those promoted clubs are loads better, so the total for safety will be considerably higher for me

Burnley and Leeds aren’t great shakes and will be in the mix. We’re abysmal.

And that was the inherent complacency of Shi. Because we'd had two straight years of the promoted teams being horrendously out of their depth, that would continue forever and therefore we'd survive by default.

Well here we are.

I will say that it's at points like this that the stupid transfer window system makes fuck all sense. We need to change tons, there's probably someone above Shi somewhere that wants to. We can't do a thing for two months, other than sack the manager, which won't move the dial much in the immediate term because you're not coaching Jackson Tchatchoua, Matt Doherty or Ki-Jana Hoever to be a Premier League standard right back whoever you are, and we have a selection of hologram keepers.

Of course we know all that well in advance but it does annoy me, there was nothing wrong with the way it was (this is pretty much the only gammony "it was better in my day" area I'll move into)

We have some decent players who are playing appallingly, I see that changing with a better/new manager.

This is the side that beat Leicester for VP's first game.

I'm not saying it's likely, I'm saying it's possible, but with each game we waste under VP, those slim chances reduce and reduce.

Leicester are as bad as we are this season. The only other team in the league that bad is West Ham

We have some decent players
You reckon?

I'm struggling to name more than five. Can't have Agbadou based on this season's form so:

Krejci
André
J Gomes
Strand Larsen
Arokodare

But we'll never play the latter two at the same time, and the manager has fallen out with the two above that.

The rest aren't even average, they're shit. The Bueno brothers play every single game and they are fucking woeful.

JSL has been as bad as Agba this season, just more anonymous
