West Ham (A) 10/4: Build-Up & Match Thread

Wait, people thought that first half was acceptable? Fucking dreadful game played out by two dreadful teams even before the goal
For a team on 17 points being slightly better than the team in 18th. Not so much acceptable as, ok not as bad as we have been 90% of this season.

2nd half was "ah that's why we are rock bottom..how the fuck do we have as many as 17 points"

Yeah it's a sign of how bad that 2nd half was that one of the very few positives is that we won't have Mosquera available for 2 games.

I don't understand why some fans like him - he's brainless and irritating, prone to multiple clangers each game. Fuck him off.
I think he showed initial promise. Then he got injured for a good while, and since he`s come into the first team his true ability has come to light.

We’re a really bad team in forward areas. But we were winning the ball high, getting the ball into feet and working opportunities. We didn’t hit the target from presentable opportunities but then they did from a moment of quality (even if we did just let it happen). It’s a really low bar, but for what this team is I was happy with it.

In no other season would the first half performance and HT situation be deemed good but this season it’s just been so bad that tonight it was deemed so by some.

I can see why he is liked. Plays on the edge, tries things etc etc. Fans like that bollocks

His dick moment today comes from that. Breaks forward from defence and wins us a free kick high up the pitch with that run...then yet again waves his imaginary card and looks shocked when he gets one.
Should have been subbed there and then the utter dick.

Only really got Toti to bring in to replace Yerson which means you end up pushing Krejci and Santi one position over (assuming that’s what he’ll do) so you end up disrupting the whole defence. All because you couldn’t help yourself from waving an imaginary card about. Twat.

I don’t understand the leeway the likes of Yerson gets, he always puts the side at risk of playing with 10 men or giving away stupid free kicks or much worst just puts the side in constant jeopardy.

How do you disrupt a defence that crumbles under any kind of pressure.

Any combo we have is fucking shit.

Does he get leeway? I think everyone universally thinks he’s an idiot?

See very little condemnation of his attitude on SM to add to the fact he’s just not very good either to back it up with, just not a very good professional bit like Agbadou who displayed the worst levels of professionalism and aptitude I’ve seen from a Wolves player.

RE achievement this season will be that he averted complete humiliation and turned us from being hopeless to being just poor. I think he would’ve got us to around 26/27 points with a full season so still crap.
VP is a fucking prick for the none preparation and leaving us unfit for a PL season.
It’s no wonder the likes of J Gomes fell out with him because they knew full well that it simply wasn’t good enough.

Ok, I've been tonight and have been out so that may overinflate some opinions, but here are my thoughts.

Firstly, thanks to the poster who got me the tickets.

Until they scored we were the better team without ever looking like scoring. 2 main options were Bellegarde cutting in from the right when he doesn't have a left foot and Bueno crossing to our ridiculously short forward line. There are times pre Haaland City have carried that off, but it's unrealistic to expect a bottom of the PL side to attack that way. I'm not a Tolu fan, but at least he offers an outlet.

The first goal is a classic one we've conceded all season, ball into the box, nobody attacks it and centre half scores, in the moment I can't really put it on anyone, but is a derivative of playing a small side.

How many times this season have we conceded a goal within 2 or 3 minutes of another, shows a lack of character?

Mane needs to think what he wants to be, because unless he's been tapped up and already knows he's off that level of effort is unacceptable, gave a goal away immediately and walked through the rest of the game. James Vaughan scored a PL goal at a similar age, don't be him.

A Gomes, on a Monday night in your 5 a side team he'll make you gasp, he isn't going to be a PL player though for us or anyone else in any formation.

Mosquera, it's been said, if you enjoy that all power to your elbow, personally I think he's a twat that doesn't have the talent to make me overlook that.

Krejci, there's always something, I like him but any chance of getting our money back after a decent World Cup and we should snatch their hands off.

Tchatchoua, his defending against (Bowen?) after Gomes hit the post is one for the ages.

Andre and J Gomes, you stroll through too many games to be taken seriously, tonight was another. Neither were individually terrible, but where's the heart and desire?

Edwards, you had a month to think about this game yet put the wrong team out and failed to correct it. He's here next season, I doubt he will be in December though
