Flicked on SSN for the first time in months, some mental valuations quoted on there.

£50m for Balogun (literally one good season in France ever) and £80m for Palhinha (I'll grant you he had a good season, but half that is nonsense).

If Palhinha goes for more than Neves did, I give up on understanding football.

Tbf he's had a much better season than I expected, but I'd have thought 25-30m maximum.
Fulham are gunna be in the shit next season unless they've got some decent players coming in.

He was great in a very limited role, IMV.

I mean, fair play to him. I ain't a scout.

Circumstances play a part too. Fulham don't need to sell (and really don't want to), hes got more than 1 year left on his contract and everyone knows West Ham have £105m burning a hole in their back pocket.

Player values aren't just about the player, it's the circumstances they are in too.

Tongue half in cheek, really.

Meh, if Messi does well there, Ronaldo will be straight over to steal the limelight and make it all about him instead

I saw this morning that CR7 was slagging the MLS off too. Saying the quality in Saudi was superior.
I couldn’t care less what he says at this point. He’s gone fully mask off with his narcissism.

Nuno Santos, he of great talent but very little ability to listen when women say "no", is getting a ticket to Vitoría, it seems. Somehow Charlotte are going to get some money back on the guy.

Worth noting, I guess, that charges were never brought against him (nor Andre Shinyashiki, the other Charlotte player involved in the incident and who also has been completely exiled from the club since).

Jonny Evans has signed a short term deal at Man Utd.

Has been training with them since his Leicester contract expired as Utd will allow any ex player use their facilities to keep fit when without a club

This is actually really cool of them? Fair play, honestly.

In general clubs in England are getting a lot better at after-care of players, particularly in cases of released youngsters. Every club with an academy is given funding for a full time player care role.

United do it well. Palace too have a decent rep for it.

Treating players as human beings. You love to see it.

We're good for getting ex-players a first step in coaching too. Rob Edwards, Foley and Olofinjana of our own in fairly recent times, Darius Vassell from elsewhere (quick, very quick).
