I think I've been there!! Is it on O'Connell Street? It rings a bell.

Yes, there is one on O'Connell St, just before the bridge. Red and white seats, jukeboxes, 50's style waitresses etc. The food is not great and massively overpriced but its open til 3am and we wanted to sit down. Plus, at that hour after a few beers, the chicken wings tasted divine.

Yes, that's definitely the place. Good memories of an awesome Dublin wedding (the wedding wasn't in the diner - we visited a few days before).

Wanting to sit down at 3am whilst with a lady! You surprise me.

Finally booked my uni ski trip! We're going the day after our Christmas deadlines. Carnage will ensue.

Completed 1 tall unit today + 2 other wide units + under the sink unit + corner unit (kind of a double single) got 3 double plug sockets smacked out of the wall, Jesus! These walls are solid and made from concrete block, really hard, slow work.

Tomorrow, I'm going to try to finish the electrics, get the plumber in to finish the pipework, then I'll put on the 3 worktops.

It's starting to take shape...

Just got an invite to a wedding reception on Saturday night - didn't think I was invited but well pleased to be asked.

I love weddings. There will be cake and real ale, and the groom has tremendous music tastes so the tunes should be good as well.

It's not quite a fitted kitchen, but I'm pleased with my reclaimed Davenport's Beer at Home crate bread bin, complete with hinged lid. Here it is with its first coating of Danish Oil:

Is that your garage/workshop? I'm impressed if it is , its even cleaner than mine !

Ha, no, it's the woodwork room at work - I work in a school and it's half term week so there's no-one else in.

High quality giffage. Futuristic!

Happy that I can still wear a ' Juicy Couture' Tee and get away with it ! :)

Oh so you're one of those... :D

I don't know , what's ' one of those ' ? I went in at the weekend and usually their T shirts are $50 ish. I found one for $15 on the clearance rail :). I just like their T shirts , I don't know if that makes me anything ? !

Just had some absolutely amazingly great news from a mate in Manchester.

So, so pleased for him. :)

His wife is expecting their first sproglet. I was best man at their wedding so they're very close friends of ours.
