The Race to be Relegated with Wolves, 24/25 Thread

It would interesting to see a table of since VP was appointed. I’d hazard a guess we are mid table(ish).

Would be on Top 7 watch instead of Leicester and Ipswich watch.

Waste of a season, cheers Jeff, cheers Hobbs, cheers GO...

If Vitor had started on zero points in December we'd still be above Ipswich and Leicester on GD

Victor's PPG since he came in is largely down to Cunha. Though who knows what results we'd have gotten without him.

How we spend that money we get for him in the summer and the wide forwards we buy is vitally important. I hope they've got a couple of good ones lined up and not 3 x £15m punts.

I bet they are Djiga, Munetsi and JSL. It'll be the second sale that creates funds imo.

I fear the latter, unless luck plays a part and one of the cheapos` turns out to be good.

Vitor has already spoken about the type of forwards he wants next season.
So get scouting wide players that will take the ball on and get into the area with it.

Another season away from the championship is a good thing, however I agree that next season is looking gloomy.
You just cannot trust those running the club that they’ll spend the money from sales efficiently. Well a minimum of 3 PL oven ready players needed. Squad needs building back up to mid table standard.
Hoping the 3 who come up are worst again is flawed I’m struggling to see who above us in the PL may have a dip next season.
Palace, Fulham, Brentford pretty well run clubs with good head coaches.
Everton have a coach who’ll keep them safe, Man Utd and Spurs will always have enough to be fine.

I think Vitors ppg average over his career is about 1.53, can't remember where I saw that.
Obviously most of that is in inferior leagues but even so it suggests he's a half decent coach over a prolonged period.
I'm just crossing my fingers we don't sell all the family silver and manage to bring in at least competent players.

Cunha was still very affective under GON, VP has made us far more organised and well drilled so much so we may get the GPG below 2 which looked impossible in December.
By doing that it’s meant Cunha contributes in wins as opposed to plucky defeats. Especially considering we’ve moved away from Gaz basketball football means we don’t need to score 3 to win matches.

Having watched quite a few Championship games this season, in our favour next season will be the similarities between last season’s promoted Clubs and the quality of the three that look like being promoted this season.
Unless one of them is able to chuck a fair bit of cash at it they’ll all struggle.
