They generally only played a handful of times for England - Worthington = 8, Bowles = 5, Currie = 17 plus you could add Rodney Marsh = 9 and Alan Hudson = 2 - hardly regulars.
England has the best teams in Europe in the 70s and the early 80s - but it never translated into a national team that reflected the status of club football, although there was the disastrous period of Don Revie being England's manager from 74-77.
Oh and by the way I loved all those players (even though they didn't play for Wolves) . . . and so very sad to hear the passing of Frank Worthington.
