The R.I.P. Thread

Yeah, the many many pictures I had within an hour of the announcement were oh so funny.

4 out of 5 main channels rolling coverage. North Korean.

BBC music stations off until 4AM, I understand that it's news, and probably quite important world news, but the general gist of it is now prince Phillip dead, and likely to stay that way for the foreseeable future ( unless David Icke is right and the duke has just shed his lizard skin), this is all we are going to be hearing about for the next week.
Maybe he's taken one for the team, to get Northern Ireland, Covid, brexit and Boris johnsons affair off the front pages?

Must admit, this frustrated me this afternoon whilst working.

It's very sad for his family and it is international news, I don't feel it's news worthy of cancelling all BBC radio for about 4 hours.

Anyway, I listened to the new foo fighters album so it wasn't too much of a trauma for me!

DMX and Prince Phillip on the same day? I can't cope.

Mind you, if you think this coverage is blanket and excessive it will be a million times worse when the Queen finally goes.

Its only the BBC that are meant to shut down programming and follow the strict guidelines. ITV and co obviously don't want to be left out.

When the Queen dies the BBC cannot show any comedy programmes until after her funeral, so we will be hit with weeks of Mrs Browns Boys I guess...

I was on a French exchange with the wonderful non sweater married Fergie. Thought I was safe. Nope. They sat me down in front of it. Grim day that was.

The sooner we are republic the better. Even with Roland Rat as head of state.

I was in Germany when Fergie dropped her first sprog. Newspaper Headlines.

US tv interrupted programs this morning to tell us that an old foreigner had died. Then spent 30 minutes explaining how wonderful he was despite his "slitty eyes" comment.
