Mike McDaniel early favourite for Bills HC. Tomlin and Daboll also linked.
I’m sure I read this morning that Beane has been “promoted”, which seems like a real half-assed way to change the leadership structure. Bit confused by that.If ownership is serious about needing a "new structure", Beane either goes or his role changes. It means more than just changing coaches.
It's silly really, but the shivering in the cold on the sideline just looks bad and permeated through the team in Miami. Buffalo is about as bad a fit as you can get.Daboll definitely helped with Allen's early development. I would hate him as head coach though. McDaniel might make the offense great but the culture within the team would go to pieces, he's just not a HC.
It's a tough one for me. It's not not nepotism, but equally there are so few people who get that level of exposure as the children of coaches do. So I can see it being fair-ish more often than in other industries... maybe. It doesn't make him a bad shout, but is there a sport filled with more nepotism than the NFL at coaching level?
He wants McDaniel if he doesn't get one of the HC rolesSaleh in at the Titans.
Was always gonna get another shot at a HC position. Not sure he's a good fit with a young QB though, gonna need a good OC to maximise Ward's potential.
Would make sense and probably be an excellent combination. Interesting that the trend seems to be for more defensive head coaches again considering how well Ben Johnson has done this year in contrast to say Aaron Glenn. He wants McDaniel if he doesn't get one of the HC roles
They so badly need to improve that offensive line. So many games this year where you may as well have stretchered Herbert off and on the field.Good move for the Chargers and Herbert, although if he continues to struggle come playoff time then they might need to rethink their QB choice.
