The Manager Sacked/Hired Thread 2022/23

Then they're morons, it's not gunna be easy, but he's by far the best hope they've got of surviving out of the available managers.
Obviously if they do stay up then they'll haven't put up with some dubious tactics.
This is just laughable nonsense.

Everton fans seem less than happy.
As would we be, and Everton fans' expectations are always (perhaps unnecessarily) high. They're a very similar to West Ham as a club in my view, in that they think they're something that they're not (due to past glories), and think they should be playing gung-ho, expansive attacking football at all costs. Fans of both clubs have hounded out old-fashioned managers (e.g. Allardyce); I can't see Evertonians warming to what Dyche serves up.

No idea if this true but the reasons reported why Everton and Bielsa couldn't reach an agreement

- He wanted 8 backroom staff appointed.
- He doesn't want to fully take over now
- Feels he needs time + pre-season to know the squad and what he needs
- He would sign for Everton now but only look after the U21 team for the remainder of the season. Then become 1st Team Head Coach

That's exactly what a club battling relegation needs. Can see why he flew over.

He's always struck me a bit as "what if Big Sam but not a dick".

For my sins I browsed the Saints, Leeds and Everton forums. Very few posters think any of them will improve over the remaining 16/17 games. Was surprised at the pessimism amongst Leeds fans, far less faith in Lasso than I anticipated

Bournemouth too. Absolutely resigned to relegation and hate the manager.

There is a gigantic difference between this place and their 4 forums

Was more active than I expected. No love for GON though, most want him gone and quickly

Not a day to try and get Big Dunc to eat vegan food on the coach home. 1 up 4 minutes into injury time, lost 2 1

The Aberdeen manager Jim Goodwin who lost to the Boys Club in the Cup has now been sacked after losing by 6 to Hibs

Optimistic length of contract. No Everton manager since Roberto Martinez has lasted longer than 18 months in charge, and he left them in May 2016 (when Kenny Jackett was still Wolves manager).
