The Manager Sacked/Hired Thread 2022/23

Seems Everton were clearly prepared for sacking Lampard

First choice was Bielsa - He has said no thanks
Moved for Thomas Frank - Rejected (More likely I would win the lottery without buying a ticket tbh)
Bielsa was never going to take it. If you look at his managerial career he's never taken a club job part way through the season.

Allardyce pretty much always starts appallingly so they'd be condemning themselves.

Do it I say.

"Hi, Mauricio this is Bill Kenwright at Everton, just a quick call to see if you would be open to the challenge of managing our old club?.....hello.....you still there Mauricio?....Mauricio?.......signal must be bad...will try again later"

I'm sorry I'm just driving into a tunnel, I may los..........................................................................

Are they at the stage when Alan Curbishley has pulled out of the running yet?

Excellent. Should hopefully ruin their push for the playoffs if he goes.

Yep I’d rather he didn’t go to Everton he’s a lot better than what they’ve had.

Duncan Ferguson set to become the new manager of........Forest Green Rovers

If Souness has gone Vegan, then I reckon Dunc can change his ways. Maybe 1 bit of fruit a week to replace a slice of bacon. Baby steps and all that

Possibly bad news for Christian Marques. I can't imagine that being anything more than a kick it, head it defender will go down well with Dunc.

He's not there any more, he got injured and they sent him back.

He will be working with Robbie Savage's kid though. He has signed on loan from Man Utd

You'd imagine he'd set up 442 again and fit some of his ex players in

Pickford
Patterson Keane Tarkowski Mykolenko
Iwobi Onana Gueye McNeil
DCL Maupay

In theory Calvert-Lewin would thrive on getting lots of crosses in. Iwobi (who is weirdly not that bad these days) would suit him playing one wide player tucked in. But then you've also got several rubbish players in there too.
Maupay ffs. Can't score for shit so he signs a forward almost famous for his lack of goals.
