The Manager Sacked/Hired Thread 2022/23

Rangers have sacked van Bronckhorst.

I reckon Mr Beale will fancy this job if they ask him

Disingenuous arse.

Expect us to catch a few strays about what a massive club Rangers are compared to us when challenged on his previous comments

Can't remember if I said it on here but wasn't too disappointed (apart from the embarrassment factor we suffered) when he turned us down as didn't think his record stood upto much scrutiny, Rangers won 1 trophy in 3 seasons against a Neil Lennon managed club imploding under the pressure of 10 on a row and even during his time at Villa, they only achieved "par" from what you would expect with that squad.

Suppose time will tell if we dodged a bullet with him.

Unless Beale has a huge change of heart, he is swapping Queens Park for Glasgow very soon indeed

Its a great get out clause.

His project was clearly get QPR top and then crash and burn

Looks like we had a lucky escape there. If QPR had kept on winning and were top of the Championship I don't think he takes the Rangers job. As they've lost every game since he rejected the Wolves job he's jumped ship quickly. Not really the type of character you'd want when fighting relegation.

The fact that it's (Glasgow) Rangers does mitigate some of that though? He does have history with them.

I don't think it mitigates any of it personally. His whole point was about recruiting players, gaining their commitment, making them relocate their families, not being able to look them in the eye if he left etc.

None of that changes whether it's Wolves, Rangers or anyone else. It was bollocks then and it's bollocks now.

Hard to deny O' Neill that. He's done as well as could have been expected from any new Manager given the player resources he has .
I'm sure I read somewhere an age ago John Terry was tipped for it. I was banking on my outside bet paying for my Christmas!

It is bollocks but the way our fans were raging about it, slagging him off and hoping he fails remains ridiculous. Man gets offered job and rejects it to stay where he is, hold the front page.

Of course he was full of shit. He just needed an excuse because he didn't want the Wolves job. He saw a quick way to make himself look good and get rhe fans even more on his side. Now they know he is the same as everyone else. If its a job he feels furthers his career he'll jump at the first chance he gets.
