The Manager Sacked/Hired Thread 2017/18

The Heil say Lambert is out of the running at Wednesday (by his own volition)

Offered a 6 month deal but Lambert feels it will take more time to turn around. Wednesday expected to look overseas to one of these foreign types that don't know the league but seem capable of getting instant results

In fairness to him, six months makes no sense. They aren't going to go down, squad is a bit weirdly balanced so you probably won't make the top six. So what are you meant to do exactly?

Lambert's last 2 jobs have been for half a season, he can't really afford another one.

Maybe they only offered six months because he's a bit crap, and nobody else is available, until the next merry go round of sackings

To be fair Lambert was ok until the Villa job broke him.

Fair point, but bit crap since then though

He was ok at Blackburn considering the mental cases in charge. He was also fine for half his spell with us. Just lost it in the final couple of months.

Wednesday appoint Jos Luhukay.

Hughes finally sacked.

Oatcake is a GLORIOUS place to lurk tonight. I really hope that bunch of shite join hands with the albion in taking the drop as we cross like ships passing in the night.

That a Stoke forum?

They could easily do that, they’ve got three good players and two of them rarely turn up. No doubt the new man will have money but how much is anyone’s guess and I can’t see that job being much more appealing than the Swansea one was.

Really disagree with that. They could be mid table, IMO.

I’ll agree to disagree, they’re rank.
IMO that's been entirely down to Hughes for some time now. Even if there was a kernel of good football in there (a small kernel).

Zouma, Wimmer, Sobhi, Diouf, Pieters, Berahino, Martins-Indi, Afellay, Adam, Cameron, Johnson, Ireland are all absolute guff.
