The Manager Sacked/Hired Thread 2017/18

My brother is a West Ham fan so I would be a bit sad about that, even with those charlatans in charge. I could live with it though!

I really dislike Bournemouth and despise their top-flight status.

I may be wrong, having only come to the game in 2011, but West Ham always felt like a club that should be in the Prem. Regardless of their shite owners. The players and the fans can't help that.

They think they should be up there because of the West Ham way of playing football, and the way the fans bang on endlessly how they won the World Cup in 1966 and playing the West Ham way.
It'd be similar to us going on about being founder members of the league and inventing the European cup/champions league in the 50s all the time

Quique Sanchez Flores turns down Stoke. Hmmm. Not sure where the Clayheads go from here.

Strong word over here all week was that O'Neill was being considered, and towards the end of the week it has been said regularly (and with out any contradiction from MON or FAI) that he was plan B if Flores fell through.

That's quite possibly your worst post on here. Ever.

:)

I started supporting Wolves because of our kit (sort of).

So I think I'm setting the bar pretty low in general. :icon_wink:

They need a major overhaul on the playing side and he's not the man to oversee that so yeah, it could well be.

I can see this being Wenger's last season

Think you're right, but he should have gone at least five years ago,it's his stubbornness in staying that's crippling arsenal

I don't blame him, it's the board who could have made a decision

He should have gone about 5 years ago the club has been in rapid decline for a while now.

I'd have had him out the door when he ummed and aahed over a new contract for nearly a season, either sign it if you're happy with it or go,either is good, from the outside it looks like he's lost the team and they don't want to play for him anymore

Who out there could do the job though? Loads would want it,after all arsenal are still a huge club

Ancelotti's name pops up a lot. He has recently moved back to his home in London I heard

Stoke now rejected by Martin O'Neill as well as Quique Sanchez Flores. They're making more of a mess of it than we did in 2012 (when the entire Wolves support seemed convinced that we were football's laughing stock when actually, no-one really was paying any attention to us). From a miles better position as well, they've been in the Premier League for a decade, have a way better squad than we did back then and are in a better position than we were with a couple of weeks still to bring in new players should they wish.

Please give it Hoddle/Saunders!

What's the ownership situation there? Can't believe no one wants that job.

Coates rarely sacks managers and he's spent absolutely tons. Finance has never previously been an issue there for any manager, within reason, and I don't think it is now (though I doubt they're that pleased that in the last year they've signed Wimmer and Berahino for huge fees and they've both been beyond awful).

Not sure how they're messing it up quite so badly.

Edit: £30m on those two :icon_lol: That's worse than us signing Rog and Jamie Essex.
