The Manager Sacked/Hired Thread 2014/15

As I said it'll be players out before players in, Peace is one of the poorest chairmen in the PL. I'd say themselves and Palace are in a similar position. Also 10 million on Ideye will have put a huge dent in their budget.

I'd have expected Pulis to hold out for Newcastle to be honest.

Tony Pulis in talks with WBA, really can't see that working unless Peace is completely overhauling the system at the club or whether Pulis is happy to work under the regime set up.

I can see Peace ripping things up - lost out on a few targets in the summer due to their set up.

The way I see it Pulis can afford to be choosey if he wants and doesn't have to jump at the first job available, Peace will really have to sell the Albion to Pulis to get him on board.

Possibly only stumbling block may be compensation for Burton, Garlick, Downing, Kelly and Kiely plus forking out wages for Pulis new back room staff. Not going to be cheap plus new signings.

Peace will have to weigh all that up against the cost of relegation. On talksport this morning they were saying that given the difficulty of their last 5 games WBA have 14 games to save themselves. Not a job for a novice and anyone with any sort of reputation will want to spend a few quid in January to make sure they don't have relegation on their CV.

Reality is there in a better position than Palace were in last year but as you said Albions last 5 games are horrific so they only have until mid April to gain 20 points.
They are as bad as anything in this league player wise and have players ie Brunt who are way past their sell by date.
If they get Pulis I'm pretty certain they'll stay up playing a typical Pulis way which some Albion fans say they won't be happy with, I find that hard to believe considering they were more than happy with Gary Megson.

If the Newcastle newspapers have a fans survey Lee Clark will probably be what Owen Coyle was to Wolves.

Cardiff City legend Craig Bellamy returns to Bluebirds in coaching role, can't be long before he replaces Russell Slade

I just don't get it,what thought process could possibly lead to "let's ask Alan Pardew to be our manager".

Alot of giddy Newcastle fans now, would be kinda cool if Pardew stays.

So, looks like its Pulis at Albion then.

Season saved then (according to Bill Howell on Twitter)

They drop so lucky at times. Mel was as bad an appointment as Solbakken, Irvine almost as bad as Saunders - they might end up with no negative consequences for a year of madness.
