I'm in no doubt they'll survive now and those games at the end won't be as unwinnable now.
The relationship between Pulis and Peace will be interesting and could explode at any point.

Including Varela and Gamboa in the dross pile is shockingly harsh.

Said it when he was bought,Gamboa is not PL standard.Especially not in a back four, much better as a wingback like Costa Rica played.

He's not THAT poor, though. Totally serviceable, his pace lets him get away with a lot of missteps.

All done and dusted Pulis is confirmed as WBA manager.

Pulis could buy a whippet and with his baseball cap and tracksuit walk down West Brom high street and not get noticed. Expect a Tony Pulis fashion range to hit Sandwell this summer.

Yeah. Mowbray was a right uppity tosser.

Didn't Mowbray have an appalling record against Pulis in those encounters too?

Yep. And like with all teams who beat his team of fannies he got very sniffy about it afterwards. There are some quotes kicking around after Roy Keane's Sunderland beat them, unbelievably bitter.

For all his pretty football mantra he's got some thundercunts in that team.

Robinson and McShane as fullbacks, Chaplow and Greening weren't too fussed about sticking a boot it when the time arose either.

Just proves how fickle fans can be and local media, WM and Paul Franks especially slated Pulis and his style for years at Stoke. No doubt they'll start lauding him when he keeps them up.

Depends how Pulis sets them up to play though, plenty of people changed their mind on him after the work he did at Palace. If his Albion side play like Palace did then people will be entitled to change the opinion they had of him based on what he'd done at Stoke.

Palace were quite pleasing on the eye after he took over last season. I think that it shows that he is capable of recognising what the talents of his squad is and playing to that strength. I'd say that what he has inherited at W**t B**m would lead to a set up closer to Stoke than Palace to begin with.

It'll be interesting to see how he goes with it, it's probably easier to implement his Stoke style quickly if he's got enough big lads so he might go that way if he thinks they're a bit desperate.

He can probably get a sturdy enough back 4 out of what's there with big lumps like McAuley and such around but don't think they have anyone to go 'full Stoke' up top with Anichebe the most suited to any sort of target man game.

Totally agree, palace had a lot of pace in their side last season with likes of Bolasie and Gale. WBA have Berahino and sessonong but both prefer to play through the middle, Varela is average apart from that they are very pedestrian.
