Scored an absolute screamer for us in my first Wolves game. Then again Paul Simpson scored from the half way line in that game so that's no way to judge a player's ability.

His hat trick vs Norwich in January 98 was pure sex.

His first from the edge of the area was outstanding - some oaf behind me (I had a STH in the North Bank in those days) shouted "fucks sake - dow shoot from.... YEEEESSSSSS!!!"

Norwich's 'marking' for Keano's goal :icon_lol:

Great find Sam, enjoyed that. Nearly 17 years ago though, fuck me.

Freedman leaving Bolton Wanderers does not surprise, though not much does in football nowadays.

That's Quirk's youtube channel, there are all sorts of gems on there. Wave goodbye to the next hour of your life.

Cracking player. Slated by the 'his lazy' mob down here who wouldn't know a footballer if they smashed a ball in their face. See also Blake, Nathan and Burke, Mark.

He was brilliant. Mark McGhee did that though - bought decent players then fell out with then and would never play them, then go out and buy Steve Claridge to replace them.

I remember watching Freedman on his Molineux debut and thinking he was quite unlike any forward we had had for a while. He was always great against us, woefully unused during his time at Wolves. Crazy

Is the Asda the one built on the old site of Burnden Park?

That video was a great find. Gunn seems about as good at organising the backline as a player as he did when he managed Norwich.

Bull, Goodman, Freedman, Keane. Good times.

(Shame about the piss awful kit though...)

They are bottom of the league, and seem in freefall, so I think it is right that Cooper has left there. It gives Hartlepool a chance to bring in a new manager with fresh ideas to try to turn their fortunes around.

Personally, I don't think he's been given enough time.

Sorry but on this occasion I must disagree. They narrowly avoided relegation last season, and are currently bottom of league two. So in my opinion something had to be done.

#shocked

Frank how can you talk like that!

Frank just showing what is wrong with modern football. There really is no patience in football anymore...

Just opened a small cardboard box. Small piece of wood with red top, sprang out and raced across the kitchen floor?... Sorry wrong thread. Can one of the mods move it to 'the live match discussion' thread. Thanks

Martin Foyle relieved of his duties at Southport after just five months in charge.
