So that’s who the other West Ham player Crook was on about was.

Hamstrings made of poppadums. However, IF he can be kept fit he can be deadly.

Coady uses to make him look like the road runner.

I'd take him but I doubt West Ham are going to sell him to us.

West Ham are (unusually for them...) after another forward so could be something in it.

Will stick with my earlier thought of them not being overly keen on selling to a relegation rival

Talksport and Alex Crook understand.... IF West Ham were open to offers. Nothing to understand, nothing said. Just media trying to flog players. Nothing guesswork.

He’d be better at playing this battering ram role that Costa is effectively playing currently.

Antonio always comes across like a top bloke, whenever he’s interviewed. We’re definitely going down the route of more home-based players and Julen has said as much himself.

I’d have Antonio here. We’ve been missing a physical presence up top since Luiz nearly retired Raul. Would make sense that he’s picked up niggles and injuries from being overplayed. When West Ham were in the Europa league, Moyes started him in practically every game and asked him to run the channels, hold the ball up and score goals. Think the bloke ended up playing nearly 50 games that season!

He’s older than I thought, though. I’d be happy with him if we could get him for a reasonable price. Certainly as a short term measure, but with him at the stage of his career he’s at, I’m not sure if he’d want the move. And then I’m not sure West Ham would want to sell to us anyway.

West Ham finances might get a bit murky, depending on how Golds estate was structured

I like any forward that is going to be a complete handful for defenders regardless of if they are having a good game. Antonio is one such player.

I don't see us signing either player.

Both nearly 33, playing for a relegation rival and out of contact shortly.

If we're currently turning our noses up at paying actual money for people like Alcaraz there's no chance we pay what West Ham would be asking.

I think the Percy story is the one with legs and if Scott is the real deal there's no reason we wouldn't pay a decent fee.
