You don't think World Cup winning Nicholas Otamendi could teach Kilman a lesson or two?

How to get sent off whilst looking shite is probably not something you want to teach

Atletico Madrid are negotiating with Wolves for Felipe — next step of the domino effect would be Atléti to sign Çağlar Söyüncü from #LCFC already in January. #Atléti

Atletico also asked for Victor Lindelöf weeks ago but Man United rejected as Ten Hag wants to keep him.

Otamendi: 0 red cards in 136 Premier League games for Man City

Edit: 6 reds in 545 career games, 4 of which were second yellow. What a terrible record of ill discipline.

I think we all need to get a sense of perspective here.

Felipe and Otamendi are way ahead of what we have currently, let’s not kid ourselves.

We were bottom of the league last week.
We were bottom of the league because of shit management in the main.

I would guess that anybody watching us since the WC has seen an almost unrecognisable side to the one before.

Otamendi was shite. Constantly made mistakes that got himself into trouble then had to try and sort it out.

Mildly concerning that Atleti seem to be happy to let Felipe go if they sign...<drum roll>....Söyüncü!

Now there's a constant fire alarm of a defender.

If Lope is going to use Felipe in the same way as he's mainly used Toti so far (at the base of a 3 in between Collins & Kilman towards the end of matches) then he could be a useful addition. Even if his legs have gone you don't have to be particularly mobile to play that role, see Coady, Conor). His experience could be exactly what we need to see out games and win valuable points.

As one of a pair in a high pressing team... Not so sure that's a good idea.

Of course it depends who we can attract in our current position but I'd be much more comfortable with a new CH displacing Kilman from the starting XI (I don't see us starting with a back three all that often) as he has been in shite form for about a year now, to the point where you wonder if his good six months was the anomaly. I don't see Dawson being suitable for that - he'd be just about ok to add squad depth as we have none, providing he doesn't stay beyond the end of the season - and I don't know enough about Felipe to say.

Felipe and Lemina in by the weekend and the squads suddenly looking a lot stronger.

They’ll set us back about £20m, combined. Which I guess isn’t too much in this day and age.

I've no idea if Felipe is any good, Brazilian Dawson? He has a experience so as long as hes not a bomb scare gives us something we're short on at the back..
Also know nothing about Lemina, would he be our 3rd CM to play with Nunes and Neves?backed up by Hodge and Moutinho, also alternative to Traore?

Played at a much higher level than Dawson ever has but he's been poor for a while apparently.

What I know about Felipe and Lemina: they are footballers.
