I’m not sure if he’ll net more than 10 but I’m rooting for him. Works hard for the team - I enjoyed it against Brighton (maybe?) where the team were titting around with it in our half, lost it, and Fab charged straight into an opposition player and won it back.

His loans have definitely made him a better player. He just needs to stay a bit grounded now.

I have no idea what you watched but we weren't titting around with it.

Fabio was pretty rancid against Brighton, easily marked out of the game by Dunk and his one chance when clean through he fluffed.

Of the 3 games he's played that was his worst.

He may well come good, pressure is on him now to do just that having been given the shirt.

He sprinted 40 yards back to our goal and disposesed the Brighton player, then ran at them.

His hold up play that day was the worst of the season, nothing Stuck Dunk had him every time.
His movement, work Rate was really good.
His hold up play was awful, but that was against a very experienced Dunk, who has dominated far more experienced centre forwards than Silva.

Most people on this board see player do good things, bad things, and will call it.

You make your mind up on day one, and never ever see anything that does not back your point of view.

So you agree with everything I said?

Do we get a free goal if Fabio's work rate gets above 6k?

How many different strategies have we had since January?
The strategy for this year will always have been "stay in the league whatever it takes", the minutiae within that are malleable by necessity. That will be true for most clubs but the very, very biggest, IMV.

I’m hanging my hat on him doing well, and given game time he will score 10+. Understand why people disagree, and I’m
Probably biased just because I want him to succeed and was excited when he signed. But I do genuinlry think there’s a player in there who will have a good top league career.

Do you think we’d have signed no one if City never came in for Nunes?

I think we were always holding out to do business (not sure why). The sale of Nunes has opened more doors in terms of quality, but now the clubs won’t sell our ‘plan B’ targets because they’ve no time to replace them. Hence why we’re in the market for the likes of Che Adams.
quite possibly. I mean Hobbs has pretty much confirmed that Guedes leaving started options, and things snowballed with the Nunes bid.

I guess the argument, possibly semantic, is that we actually don't have a strategy, or a consistent plan. we instead are a phenomenally reactive club at the moment (as @Kenny identifies, have been so for a while).
Which is worrying. Good for this place though, as it enables wild speculation!

I don't think anybody wants him to fall.

But that conversation has been had.

I still haven't seen the player others have, hoping to be proved wrong and not watch Che Adams all season.

I think Fabio would work well with Sasa but he has to score goals.
