Try another answer. They said that about letting him out at all.

Like they'd ever turn down £40m+ for Palmer after spending £40m+ on Nunes - chance to balance the books there. We've clearly used Doyle to soften the fee we were demanding for Nunes. McAtee hasn't got an option to buy I don't think.

I thought I read that Bellegarde has a release clause and is refusing to sign a new contract so if that’s true there’s a decent chance we can make it happen

Release clause is €16.8m, we've supposedly offered 8. He is out of contract after this season though

FabRom:

Understand Wolves submitted opening bid to Salernitana on Thursday night to sign Boulaye Dia #WWFC

Salernitana rejected proposal out of hand as Dia considered key player.

Talks now ongoing for Che Adams to Wolves.

Our squad is much stronger than Bournemouth’s. Full stop.

You already put a full stop?

It's subjective, but there's no way we're a significant tier above teams of that ilk in the way we were a few years ago, in personnel or ambition

Sounds like we’re wasting our time with that one. We’ll end up with Che. This is the problem with leaving all of your transfer business until the last 2-3 days.
that isn't what we have done. circumstances changed, enabling a change of strategy.

Do you think we’d have signed no one if City never came in for Nunes?

I think we were always holding out to do business (not sure why). The sale of Nunes has opened more doors in terms of quality, but now the clubs won’t sell our ‘plan B’ targets because they’ve no time to replace them. Hence why we’re in the market for the likes of Che Adams.

We sign Enso and maybe a loan for Adams.

CB and other midfielders no. We would have gone with Pond/Doc/Jonny as the 4th CB option.

Yeah, Enso was off the back of Guedes' wages freeing up a bit of wiggle (apparently) but without Nunes going we wouldn't have gotten Doyle or Bueno Mk. II

It's described as an opening bid , perhaps we'll go higher .
