Then again if you believe reports that his break clause in his contract is €10m and we offered €8m then it probably can get done. If you believe it.

Clearly we want a forward and another midfielder. The window will be an abject failure in terms of incomings, even with the late flurry we've seen in the last 24 hours, if we're unable to add anyone else.

I'm all in on Bellegarde and I hope we can make it happen. He looks an ideal player to drive forwards and get into the box. It would take some of the responsibility off Cunha in that central AM role and he at least is in form at the minute.

Apparently release clauses are forbidden in French football contracts, but the rumour is Bellegarde has an exit clause where he can buy out the final year of his contract for €10m.

If that's the case then I expect us to stump up the extra cash and get it done. Particularly with Podence now looking like leaving for €6m.

The window will be a failure regardless of whether or not we manage to get a few panic buys in before the deadline. It's been an absolute shambles. How not to run a football club.

The whole summer has been a failure whether we bring anymore in or not.

It's been a masterclass in how to be a clusterfuck of a club.

Che Adams or not. It is what it is and just have to hope the group we have are able of doing the main task of staying up.

We definitely need a third forward who's happy to play that role. If either of Sasa/Silva get injured, we can't rely on the other one to play 90+ mins every game. And as promising as Fraser looks we need someone with a bit more experience to bring off the bench if we are looking for a goal.

No I agree that his hold up play was bad, I don't agree he was awful, or that it was the worst of the season
Well we're only 3 games in, are you saying he played worse in the other 2?

And did you read the rest of my post?

Taremi and Ocampos are both available. They'd be good signings for a fair few clubs

It's peak Wolves to put all of our eggs in the Che Adams basket and then to fail to sign him.

Taremi would be out of our league I reckon. Wants Champions League football and happy to stay at Porto if he doesn't get a move

Ocampos would expect to be first choice. I don't see us doing that after giving Silva the 9 shirt and having Sasa here as well.

Well we haven't. We know of another striker bid and we enquired about Ineanacho.
Just that Adams became number 1* target and couldn't get it done.

*cheapest option obvs.

Ocampos is best played out wide. He would easily be our best option in either wide slot as Lycan said.

We've been scared off Iheanacho because of his £20m price tag. The other lad was a resounding "no" when we made an opening offer and that was last night and we haven't yet gone back, according to reports. So we've been left chasing Adams and have now found out at 3pm on deadline day that he's no longer available.

I can just picture them all sat around a table looking cluelessly at each other and shrugging their shoulders.

So not all eggs in one basket.

More throwing eggs and hoping 1 lands in the basket.

15m was already 10m too much for Che, I'm not at all upset that the club don't want to pay more than 15m for him. In fact, I'm glad for it.
