Really liked Alex Rae too

Not 100% sure of the source but usually pretty reliable... "Rumour is all senior staff have been put on official notice of possible change of ownership and every payment over £10k now has to be approved by China."

Anyone else heard anything?

That's shocking if true!
Anything over £10k is scandalous.
I'm sure the fancy coffee machines down at Compton cost more than £10k should they need to be replaced

But...Cresswell. Brownhill...

If they were negotiating a sale it would explain a lot.
Lopetegui told, the goalposts moved, no guaranteed future.
Cheap replacement bought in.
No signings or money spent.
Top assets sold, Neves, Nunes.
Kilman not sold is a weird one though.

Yeah, would make some sense on what is going on with the ffp shit too

Had this through WhatsApp but just dismissed it as bollocks. Which it probably is.

I’ve seen suggestions that if he doesn’t get a move Nunes might down tools. Unfortunately if he fails to track runners and misplaces simple passes it won’t be easy to determine if it’s downing tools or playing exactly as he always has.

Liquidating assets before a sale means that the asset (the club) isn’t worth as much as the agreed value so the sale price would continue to be driven downwards. It makes no sense from that perspective. More likely that if something has been agreed that any material changes are agreed with the purchaser in order not jeopardise any sale.

Scenes when we get taken over by Saudis and Lop returns as manager

Scenes when he returns and has to wait until January to buy players and plays half a season with Tom King, Doc, Hodge and the tea lady starting every week.
