Forgot about the Barton one. Makes Toney look part time with 1200+ bets and 5 of them on games he was involved in. 18 month ban for that

For a legend of the city it was a pity he was a Manchester United fan.

WBA have taken out a loan from MSD worth £20m to finance the general business operation of the club.

What on earth has happened to them? Dodgy owner?

I wonder if they’re gambling on gaining promotion to pay it back? Very risky business.

This is the last season of the higher amount of parachute money so wouldn't be surprised. Mad that they're 14th but only 3 points off 5th.

The issue they've got is the top 2 looks done unless there's a big collapse for one of the current top 2.

The owner has taken money out the club....he will pay it back...honest.

Essentially he purchased the club to make money for himself. Blackpool-lite if you will. Only really works if in the Prem. Relegation ruins it and they kind of need the "loans" back

Aha, that makes sense. They’re going to end up being Derby MkII at this rate. Problem is it’s not as if they have many players they can sell off at high prices.

Just done some reading loan is taken out to avoid having sell their players. Loans been secured against the training ground and other assets. Chairman still hasn’t paid back his £5mill loan either.
Pretty much means it’s promotion or bust this season.
Sounds like if the club doesn’t go up then they’ll have to sell all their players in the summer just so they can pay back the loan and function as a business.
Fully expect Corberan to make quick exit, pretty much means they’ll be reliant on youth, generous loan deals and free transfers.

On tenterhooks for the 31st when he misses another deadline to pay it back. There's no chance he'll ever pay it.
