Trippier got 10 weeks for essentially confirming he was moving clubs to mates who wanted to put a bet on
Sturridge got 4 months for telling people who he was signing for...they bet on it and then he joined another club

If he has bet on football games not involving Brentford there is no set period of time the FA can/will ban him for. That is at their discretion. if he has bet on games he is involved in, then a min of 6 months will come his way

He can of course carry on playing because at this moment in time, it is just charges and he is allowed to defend himself and if all 200+ are wrong, he is banned for nowt.

FA ensured they avoided any embarrassment though with the World Cup call up by leaking the story to the Daily Mail in the week leading up the squad announcement
