The Football News Thread 2017/18 - everything not Wolves

What an absolute cunt that bloke is. Hopefully they kick the twat out of football.

A bit of an odd one for Friday morning:

Accrington Stanley have made just ONE sub in their last 9 league games. That's mad enough, but to add some context...

Fewest subs made by teams in their last 9 league games (top 4 tiers):

Accrington - 1
Crystal Palace - 13
Portsmouth - 14
Burnley - 16
Doncaster - 19
Exeter - 19

Be interesting to see how the rest of the season plays out knowing that he's on his way.

Ken not using his subs properly?! Never.

Rúben Neves has completed more long balls than any other Championship outfield player this season.

473 attempted
333 completed
70.4% accuracy.

I saw that graph. Paul McShane was inexplicably high up on the same chart

KJ makes no subs but takes Ronan off at 55 mins every week. (That’s if he even starts)

Welcome back. They were the first ever not to be re-elected, weren't they? Or something like that.
The original Accrington Stanley resigned from the Football League in 1962 and folded in 1966. The current version formed in 1968.

Coventry City played 43 won 21 drew 8 lost 14 points 71.

Thats a new points total record in the 123 year history of Coventry City

It's a bit skewed though, as the 66-67 2nd Div champions they won 23, drew 13 and lost only 6 in a 42 match season with 2 points for a win giving them 59 points. That would be 82 points in new money.
