Very well run club compared to fellow promotion rivals Wolves through the seventies which enabled longevity in the top flight. Coventry signed good quality Wolves never supplemented those signed by Ronnie Allen.

I’m not sure there’s any real intent. He didn’t punch him and miss. As I said it’s a really odd thing to do and can’t really be considered a punch. This is why he hadn’t been banned.
